We’ve long been on the hunt to find a tri bike that we think really stacks up as competitive offering. The new Factor Slick has really exceeded our expectations and I think it’s one of the best options on the market. Why? Various build and budget options with power meter as standard. We love the integrated hydration, but it’s also easily removed for cleaning too, and hidden storage keeps the essentials… well hidden. From a bike fit perspective, being able to choose the crank length helps get the best fit without additional cost and the Vision aero bar system allows for awesome customisation without needing to spend thousands extra.
So in our eyes, it’s an awesome bike which doesn’t lock you in to proprietary parts (like canyon tri-bars and nose cones or storage covers…) as well as coming with local bike shop support and service.

I think I misunderstood when mechanic Jordan asked me to “sand” the brake pads!
Dad jokes aside, absolutely no sand touched this beautiful bike for Steve. Equipped with the all new SRAM Force E1, which has the same insanely powerful braking as SRAM Red, much improved lever ergonomics (bike fitter rejoices) and seems from our test ride to have improved shift speed. I was left feeling very impressed.
The Pinarello X is a fantastic bike choice, it’s just a reminder how far endurance bikes have come when this still feels as nice to ride as a Dogma F. Custom built here to Steve’s specs, it’s comfortable, fast and fun, he’s going to love it!

Finished in Porsche Liquid Metal chrome blue, it’s a stunning metallic silver base with a blue tint. We’ve paired this with some beautiful work from , he’s produced a stunning saddle and bar tape combination that has hints of the metallic blue beneath and is topped by navy kangaroo leather.

On the wheel front we have a set of Enve 3.4s laced to Chris King hubs, naturally these are polished to matched the lugs of the frame.

This is the result of an obsession with detail.

It’s custom gravel build season. Whilst here in Sydney it’s not as easy to do gravel rides as regularly, when we look back on the rides we did each year, it’s almost always the gravel events and adventures that have been the most enjoyable.
We built this Time ADHX 45 with Enve AR bar, Enve wheels, SRAM Force 1x and BBInfinite bottom bracket for Gabrielle last month with the complete build under 8.5kg.
