New Zealand's Elite Men’s team had an impressive 3-0 victory over France, maintaining their top position with two wins. Turkey also showcased strength with two wins today, defeating Germany 15-0 and Spain 3-1. An exciting game awaits as New Zealand and Turkey face off tomorrow (game 71). Great Britain secured two close wins of 2-1 against Colombia and 1-0 against Australia. South Africa's 5-0 win over USA puts them in second place, tied with Great Britain and Turkey.
In the Women’s grade, the qualifying section is complete, and the two divisions (Division A – top 8 and Division B - remaining 5) are confirmed. A coin toss between Australia and Colombia determined the final seeding, with Colombia becoming the top seed for their group. Points gained against other qualifiers will carry forward to the Division A points table, which may prove decisive for final seedings.
In the Elite Women’s Division A, New Zealand defeated South Africa 7-1, and Great Britain won a tight contest 2-1 against Australia. Colombia secured a good win of 3-1 against USA, while Spain and France drew 1-1. The top-of-the-table game tomorrow between Great Britain and New Zealand (Game 81) promises to be a thrilling encounter, as it's a repeat of the 2018 final.
In the Masters Women’s grade, the French team achieved a third straight win, leading the grade after a close 2-1 victory over Australia. New Zealand demonstrated their strength with two solid wins today against Canada (8-0) and USA (8-3). The match tomorrow (game 79) between Australia and New Zealand is one to watch.
The Men’s Masters grade saw USA and New Zealand continue their good starts, each securing a win. USA defeated France 4-1, and New Zealand dominated with a 9-0 victory against South Africa.
Another exciting day of Underwater Hockey at the 21st CMAS Underwater Hockey World Championships on the Gold Coast. Tomorrow's matchups between several top teams add to the anticipation and thrill of the event.

The 21st CMAS Underwater Hockey World Championships in Gold Coast, Australia, had an eventful Day 1 after a two-year hiatus due to Covid. Exciting matches and surprising results marked the opening day, creating a sense of anticipation for the days ahead!

Opening Ceremony
Athletes will assemble upstairs in seating allocated by country. Everyone must be seated by 4pm. The ceremony will be completed by 5.30pm. All Athletes and officials must be in official uniform for tournament photos.
