Last Thursday, Australian Oztag officially launched the World Tag Rugby 2026 Tag World Cup! 🌏🏆

Timor Tag Australia were proudly represented by Jai Pereira and Katherine Nheu — members of our 2026 Mixed Opens squad. 🇹🇱

It’s an exciting time as nations representatives come together and share in the anticipation as we count down to the tournament.

⭐️⭐️ITF WORLD CUP DIVISONS ⭐️⭐️

Timor Tag Australia would like to announce we will enter a MENS and WOMENS OPENS team for the ITF WORLD CUP 2026. This decision is guided by the registrations we have received so far.

As part of the rules and entry requirements set out by the ITF, non-heritage players WILL NOT be permitted to play in the teams and as such, will not be included in our teams unfortunately.

Last weekend, our Timor Oans proudly took part in an exhibition match of Oztag, celebrating 50 years since the first arrival of Timorese refugees in Australia.

A huge thank you to for the opportunity to showcase our unity and cultural pride through sport — especially through a game not as commonly played in our community as soccer.

We honour and reflect on the past 50 years, and we look forward with hope and pride to the next 50 as we continue to grow, represent, and build together. ❤️🇹🇱
