Hello Tourists!
The time has come to shut down this page on FB. So please take a little time to review the posts, relive the memories and save anything you want for posterity.
The friendships made before, during & after tour, the activities we were part of such as canteen duty, raffle selling, engagement with our sponsors, parents gala night, the fun we had at jet boating, go carts, hot springs, cruising Christchurch and surrounds, the games against some fierce but friendly Kiwis, the welcome we received everywhere we went, the visits to Crusaders HQ after their Super Rugby win, Tafooz and Mitch D coming to breakfast, the organisation by Phil on the ground in NZ, the shenanigans in the STACs boarding house, the songs learnt in the stands at the Super final and sleeps on the bus, golf and fireballs, learning the haka, the views on the road around every corner, (no) talent night, the tour video that captured (almost) all of it, Woodsy getting into all sorts of trouble...... will be part of many a story for many a year.
I will close this page at the end of Jan 2021.
See you @ Beauchamp

Haka!
Ka mate! Ka mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!
Ka mate! Ka mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!
Tenei te tangata puhuru huru
Nana nei i tiki mai
Whakawhiti te ra
A upa ... ne! ka upa ... ne!
A upane kaupane whiti te ra!
I die! I die! I live! I live!
I die! I die! I live! I live!
This is the hairy man
Who fetched the Sun
And caused it to shine again
One upward step! Another upward step!
An upward step, another... the Sun shines!

Kia Ora!
Our Thursday arvo was an adventure at Willowbank Wildlife reserve and the Ko Tane Maori village for an insight into the unique Maori culture.
Most of us saw Kiwis for the first time, listened to the calls of the kea and morepork, laughed at some kiwi humour "potato sack, sack of potatoes" while the boys were captivated by the eels which they befriended.
Check out the next post for the haka.

This tour just keeps on giving.
We were so privileged to tour the facilities at Rugby Park with Grant Keenan the head of the development squads.
Super impressive to see how hard they work, the different mindset from all other Super franchises and the will to drive to the next goal.

Another highlight.....It's wonderful to announce that the two guests for tomorrow's breakfast will be Crusaders and All Blacks Mitchell Drummond and Jordan Taufua. It will be great for the boys to interact with and
