First up is the household name and all-round legend, Nina Curtis Nina Eva Curtis

For our upcoming event at the New York Yacht Club, Nina joins the trim team, working alongside Stacey on jib and spinnaker trim. 💪

Nina is most looking forward to:
“returning to racing after having her second baby, sailing with old and new friends and working hard towards a shared goal.”

Nina’s sailing highlights include:

• First female SailGP Season Champion (2022)
• Volvo Ocean Race sailor
• Women’s America’s Cup 
• Two-time Australian Female Sailor of the Year

Off the water, Nina is a business owner, health and fitness professional, founder of NoNonsense Magnesium, and mum to two little girls. 👯‍♀️

Great to see such a strong turnout at the SheSails Pathways & Networking Event at Middle Harbour Yacht Club last week.

The night brought together sailors, volunteers, coaches and industry leaders to share experiences, build connections and highlight the many different pathways through sailing.

Proud to see Women Racing’s Tara Blanc-Ramos and Katie Spithill contributing to the conversation and helping inspire the next generation of women in the sport.

In September, RQYS Sailor Stacey Jackson will be taking off on another incredible adventure. ICYMI, Stacey was part of an all-female crew that sailed around the world last year. This time, Stacey is headed to New York with Women Racing to race in the inaugural New York Yacht Club International Women’s Championship. With another all-star female crew, they will be representing Australia on a global platform at this prestigious Regatta!

A huge congratulations to Women Racing co-founder Stacey Jackson on being awarded the Trygve Halvorsen Trophy for Offshore Achievement of the Year at the RPAYC awards.

Stacey continues to set the benchmark in offshore sailing, and we’re incredibly proud to see her recognised for both her achievements and contribution to the sport.

Last year alone included a Jules Verne Trophy record as part of the first and fastest women’s team around the world with The Famous Project, alongside an Admiral’s Cup win representing Monaco onboard Jolt, both extraordinary achievements by any measure.

An inspiring sailor, competitor and teammate - this recognition is so well deserved.

Repost: The CYCA is proud to share an exciting international campaign that will see a team of talented female sailors represent the CYCA, Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron and Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club at the inaugural New York Yacht Club International Women’s Championship in Newport, Rhode Island.

Featuring 20 elite all-female teams from six continents, the event will take place in September 2026.

The three clubs encourage members, supporters and the wider sailing community to get behind the campaign to help the team represent Australia on the world stage. Donations are tax deductible and provide support for athlete development and Australian sporting initiatives.
