Hi Everyone and Happy New year!!
We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday break and we can’t wait to see you all in 2024.
Our committee met last week to finalise our timetable for the year commencing Tuesday the 6th of February.

Little diggers will return for children younger than school age as usual on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with 3 classes at 9am, 10am & 11am.
Classes cost $5 per child per class. Yearly registration is $40 per child.

Gymnastics will return for school age children on Tuesdays with Junior gym at 3:45pm and general Gym at 4:30pm & 5:30pm as well as Wednesday general Gym classes at 4:30om and 5:30pm.
Classes will cost $6 per child per class with a yearly registration of $50

Boxing will return for all ages on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7pm, classes will be $5 per person per class with a yearly registration of $50

We will be taking pre orders for our New training shirts and Singlets until the 21st of March.

We can’t wait to see you all again next week!!

We hope you all enjoy your school holidays and we can’t wait to see you again in term4!
We are excited announce that all regular sessions will be returning from Tuesday October 10th! 🤸‍♀️🥊

Little diggers will continue Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am,10am & 11am for kids aged from walking to school age for $5 per child.

Gymnastics will return on Tuesdays at 3:45pm for junior gym, for beginners aged 4, for $5 per class and regular classes at 4:30pm and 5:30pm as well as Wednesdays at 4:30pm and 5:30pm for $6 per child per class.
At this stage there will be no Friday afternoon Gymnastics classes.

Boxing will return Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7pm. Kids Aged 7+ as well as Adults all $5 per person per class.

Please note that there will be no registration fees this year but we still need a registration form filled out for everyone on your first session.
Classes are still pay as you go as usual and we do not have any eftpos facilities so can only accept cash.

Hi everyone,
We have some Fantastic News!
The committee met last night and we have made arrangements to commence classes in the Hall.

Little Diggers will be the first to start back next week on Tuesday 29/08 and Thursday 31/08.
Classes will be same times as previous:
9am-10am
10am-11am
11am-12noon

Our evening Gymnastics and Boxing classes will resume in term 4 of the school year, with the first night back being Tuesday October 10th.
We apologise for this delay, but this will hopefully give us time to receive the last of our new equipment and sort through the last few issues with council and the hall.

GeckoSports Camden will be running after school classes in the hall on Monday and Friday afternoons with start date and time table to be confirmed.

All of us from Camden RSL Youth Club want to thank everyone for their ongoing support and patience over was has been a much longer than expected break.
We can’t wait to see you all over the next couple of weeks!

We are very sorry to inform that our anticipated opening date in Early May will not be going ahead.

Camden council still hasn’t granted the youth club committee access to the hall which we were told we would have by mid March.
Needless to say, we are very disappointed and will continue to follow up with council and update as best we can as soon as we have some more information.

Hi everyone,
We have finally received some good news from Camden council.
The work to the replace the flood damaged floor in the hall is underway and is expected to be complete with the next 2-3 weeks, the contractors will then need to seal the floor and mark out the basketball court etc.
The youth club committee met late last week and has decided that at this stage we are aiming to reopen for term 2 of the public school year (02/05/23) this will give us time to do a stock take of our equipment and make sure everything is ready to welcome everyone back. This date will be confirmed once we have actually received handover of the hall from council, hopefully at the end of March.

At the youth club annual general meeting we welcomed back some existing committee members and welcomed aboard some new members.

Hi everyone, Happy New Year!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is enjoying the school holiday break!

Unfortunately at this stage we do not have a return date for 2023 as Camden council is still in the process of organising to have the flood damage in the youth club hall repaired.
We are hoping to work closely with council in the next few weeks and months and push things forward.

The youth club committee will be meeting at the Camden Rsl club on Thursday the 23rd of February for our AGM and we will post any relevant updates here on Facebook.

Hi everyone, just a quick update on the youth club hall.
Camden Council are expecting to finish the first stage of planned works before Christmas, this includes new mens, ladies and disabled bathrooms as well as new parking and access in front of the main doors.
Unfortunately, the flood damage to the timber floor in the hall has gotten worse with the boards swelling and raising the floor.
Council has advised us that they have advertised the repair works which will be fixed through insurance and are hoping to have a lead time by the end of November.

Unfortunately this means we don’t yet have a definite start date for our little diggers, gymnastics or boxing classes in 2023, but we will continue to liaise with Camden council and do our best to provide updates when we receive and News.
The committee and trainers look forward to welcoming everyone back tas soon as possible.

Just a reminder that boxing won't be resuming this week due to the flood damage. At this stage we are unsure of our return date, however we will keep you posted as soon as we know more🥊

As you would all know we suffered another flood in Camden this week. Unfortunately this flood was even higher then the previous ones earlier this year and has entered the RSL hall.
The flooring has been damaged and will require repairing before we are allowed to use the club again.
Thankfully we were able to move all the gymnastic and boxing gear to higher ground before the flood waters entered, so we have managed to minimise the loss of our equipment.
We are disappointed that boxing will not be resuming now after the school holidays. At this stage we are unsure how long the repair process will take but we will keep you all posted.
