🇦🇺 REPRESENTING AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺

A huge congratulations to Aussie Drop Bears alumni Jack Bowden and Seb Watts on being selected to represent Australia at the 15U World Cup! 👏🇦🇺

It’s pretty special for us to see players who have been part of the Aussie Drop Bears program continue to develop, grow and take the next steps in their baseball journeys.

Both Jack and Seb have previously pulled on the green and gold with us on the international stage, with Jack representing at the Babe Ruth World Series and Seb at the Cal Ripken World Series.

It’s great to know we’ve played even a small part in helping these players develop and giving them opportunities to experience international baseball along the way.

Well done, Jack & Seb! 👏🇦🇺
We’re incredibly proud and can’t wait to watch you go even further from here. 🚀

Take a look at this, if you want a chance to represent at a Babe Ruth or Cal Ripken event make sure you get to one of Ozball's tournaments

🇦🇺🌏 THERE'S MORE THAN ONE PATH TO THE WORLD STAGE ⚾️

When it comes to representing Australia on the world stage, there isn't just one pathway.

Two of the biggest opportunities in junior baseball are the Little League World Series (LLWS) and the Cal Ripken World Series (CRWS), and while both give players the chance to represent their country, the experiences are very different.

🇺🇸 LLWS PATHWAY A historic tournament with incredible prestige, but for teams making the trip, the World Series component can mean just 2 guaranteed games before the tournament journey potentially comes to an end.

🟠 CRWS PATHWAY A different kind of international experience, with 4–5 World Series games, plus the opportunity for lead-up games, training camp and additional baseball as part of the overall tour.

That means more time on the field, more opportunities to compete against international teams, more development and, importantly, more time representing 🇦🇺 AUSTRALIA.

Neither pathway is "better" for everyone. They're simply different opportunities with different journeys.

The goal is the same:

🇦🇺 Put on the green and gold.
🌏 Represent Australia.
⚾️ Play baseball on the world stage.

And if you're thinking about 2027...

👀 Stay tuned. Details are coming.

The next Australian baseball adventure could be closer than you think. 🇦🇺🔥

MORE THAN JUST BASEBALL 🇦🇺🇳🇿⚾

Yesterday was all about having some fun, making new friends and enjoying what a World Series experience is all about!

Our Aussie Drop Bears joined up with the New Zealand team, along with a few players from the FCA Lumberjacks and Pacific Southwest teams, for something a little different.

An ‘Aussie Rules’ scratch match, a very competitive Mum Home Run Derby, plenty of laughs and a whole lot of fun!

After a week of intense competition, it was great to see players from different teams and countries come together, enjoy the game and build friendships away from the pressure of tournament play.

These are the moments that make trips like this so special.

Different teams. Different countries. One game bringing everyone together.

And we’re pretty sure the mums enjoyed their moment in the spotlight too!

PLAYER OF THE GAME | WILSON GLOVER 🇦🇺⚾

Congratulations to #2 Wilson Glover, our Player of the Game from our final World Series matchup against Orange Grove, Texas.

In a game where the Drop Bears continued to fight right through to the final out, Wilson stepped up and delivered a performance worthy of our final Player of the Game honour of the tournament.

It’s a special recognition to finish an incredible World Series experience representing Australia on the international stage.

From the first game to the last, these boys have continued to learn, develop and compete, and Wilson’s performance today was another example of the fight this group has shown throughout the tournament.

Congratulations Wilson on a well deserved Player of the Game!
