Hey friends! 🙋♂️ Ever feel like you're trying to become the best version of yourself but might be missing something? Me too. I recently dived into Kegan’s Theory of Adult Development, and it's been an eye-opener! 🤯 Turns out, most of us are still evolving and growing in ways we might not realise.
I'm sharing a blog today about this transformative journey. Check it out and let me know if you've had any "aha!" moments in your own growth journey! 🌱📖

I was facilitating a 'Leading Self & Others' workshop for the UNSW Women in Maths & Science Champions last week, when I witnessed a 'life-is-good' moment.
Towards the end of the day, we did a role-play activity to practice providing and receiving strengths-based praise feedback. The energy in the room was uplifting to say the least.
I saw gratitude, happiness, surprise and relief as the participants connected in a way I may never have observed in a workshop before. So very cool 😃
Here's to more genuine, heartfelt workplace praise for you all in the future 🥰

"It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for – and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool – for love – for your dreams – for the adventure of being alive." - Oriah Mountain Dreamer

{ Exchanging criticism for encouragement works better in the workplace. Positive encouragement or praise feedback leads to positive emotion and heightened activity in the left prefrontal area of our brains. This area of the brain is associated with enhanced creative thinking, cognitive flexibility and processing of information. It also helps us to tap into the good feelings we’ll have when we reach a long-term goal. Sounds like a winning approach to me }
