Our Shark Bite Trauma kit is now installed at NCC SLSC. It is located on the building at the Council Lifeguards room

The kit includes tourniquets, bandages, and wound dressings to assist if an emergency situation arises.

During an Emergency response 000’s operators can assist and guide you through using the kit.

Last weekend, which was the first weekend without the flags to be up, we saw multiple rescues performed by “off duty” volunteer lifesavers across many beaches, including our own.

This is an important reminder of how integral Surf Life Saving and Life Savers are, and how important the mitigating of risks by using flags and observation ensures a safe day at the beach to be had by all.

The skills we gain and maintain each season are some that are carried on throughout our whole lives and truly make the world a better and safe place.

Last Sunday we held a ‘come and try surf boat rowing’ day. The Sun was shining and there was plenty of smiles and laughs throughout the day. Thank you to everyone that came along, we hope that you had a great time. We look forward to holding more of these days in the future 💛💚
