FRIDAY FACTS 📑
High intensity training is superior to long steady state cardio when it comes to weight loss 🤓
Studies have proven that after a bout of very high intensity exercise the human body releases a surge of GROWTH HORMONE (the body’s hormone of youth).
GH is responsible for increasing active THYROID HORMONES (the hormones that govern our metabolism) 🤔
Even a workout as short as 6 minutes performed at a very high intensity is enough to release enough growth hormone to kick start the body’s metabolism for the day, burning fat as a fuel source over glucose (sugar) even burning more calories at REST 😮
The calories you burn in the gym are only a small portion of your total energy consumption throughout the day 🥵 So increasing your energy burned at rest leads to more efficient fat loss.
Ever wonder why young kids have random outbursts of energy 🤪 and can survive on sourpatch lollies and hardly put on any weight? It’s because they have huge amounts of growth hormone surging through their body’s all day making them very metabolically active 🔥
Unfortunately growth hormone starts to decline after our 20’s 😔 But it’s not all bad, there are few things that can bump up our natural growth hormone!
