How far should you be rotating in freestyle?

We are back at Icebergs on Thursday evenings with Beginner Squad. This week we did lots of rotation drills and worked on our body position in the water.

Rate our push offs 💥

Using the walls is an easy way to improve your lap times. A strong push off gives you a boost at the start of each lap that you can transfer into your swimming. Spending longer underwater is faster than popping up and swimming straight away.

Keeping your elbow above your wrist helps you create a stronger catch and pull more water backwards.
Sculling is a great drill to help you feel the water and develop your catch position.

Thursday evening sessions at Icebergs are back! 🌅

We had a bit of a rough one to kick off the summer timetable last night with high tide and some decent waves crashing into the pool. Luckily our swimmers are tough and we had a some fun regardless.

Try for yourself on Thursdays 6-7pm. We have both Beginner Squad and Stroke Correction Courses running until the end of daylight savings time in April.
