2027 SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT

PRUFC are pleased to announce that The Salisbury Hotel | Your Local Stanmore Pub will continue as a premier partner for season 27'!

Bringing the community together since 1899, the Salisbury is the undisputed home away from home for Petersham Rugby. From epic pub feeds and catching the footy on the big screen, to celebrating our biggest wins with our mates.

We're absolutely stoked to continue our partnership into 2027 and look forward to the good times ahead!

Petersham RUFC are saddened to announce the passing of Life Member John “Whitto” Whittington.

Whitto played for the juniors in the early 1960s and into the seniors in the late 60s and early 70s.

An amazing rugby player, mainly at fullback, and when asked played anywhere in the backs.
Also a great goal kicker, Whitto played in and lost a Kentwell GF in 1972, and played in and won a Kentwell GF in 1973.

The attached photo shows Whitto at his sporting best, playing for Petersham Rugby at Marrickville Oval in 1972, surrounded by his mates.

He will be sadly missed by many. Funeral details are yet to be arranged.

Appreciation post for our clubs first ever womens representative player Chelsea Gordon 🙌

Petersham have been playing rugby for 143 years and this has to be one of our proudest moments.

If you were done at Camperdown at any stage this year I'm sure you would have seen Chelsea breaking the line into open space, what a player!!

Congratulations once again on a very well deserved selection in the NSW Suburban Rugby Union womens rep side 💪💪
