When the legs have clocked off but the passion hasn’t. 5 hours. 80 kids. Countless laughs, stories, connection and dance moves. The body is tired but the spirit is full πŸ”₯πŸ‘£πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ

A few of our Brolgas had the privilege of attending Ngambaa: Reimagined on the weekend.

Congratulations to Amelia Jean O'Leary and Erica Dixon on a powerful and inspiring work that beautifully shared story, culture and connection through movement.

One of the highlights was hearing the different interpretations and reflections from our Brolgas afterwards, showing how the performance resonated with each of them in their own way.

Powerful moments in our traditional class learning, connecting and sharing culture with Djakapurra Beatty πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ€πŸ–€

Having strong young cultural leaders work alongside our young people is something truly special. Opportunities like this inspire the next generation to walk proudly in culture, build confidence in who they are and continue carrying our stories, knowledge and traditions forward.

As young cultural leaders themselves, our dancers are learning the importance of responsibility, respect, connection and leadership through movement, storytelling and cultural practice. Watching them engage so deeply, listen carefully and grow in these spaces is powerful to witness.

Deep gratitude for the knowledge, guidance and spirit shared in the room. This is how culture stays strong β€” through community, mentorship and our young people rising proudly in their identity πŸ”₯
