The amount of times I have heard “I just don’t feel it” or “it’s too easy” and in my head (and out loud sometimes haha) I think you just didn’t do it right!
No, it is not going to be like a cross fit session, but you should def feel that inner and DEEP 🔥
I do all types of Pilates very regularly, I go to KX to get my dynamic session in, I teach HIITLates which includes jumping jacks and burpees 😓 but I also go back to my classic exercises and out of all 3, classic Pilates kicks my 🍑 harder than any!
My recommendation is to get a good balance of slow pace and dynamic pilates with good instructors who are actually looking at you and your form and not themselves in the mirror (we are all guilty of doing that 😂 💁🏽‍♀️) but listen to their cues and those tiny corrections will make a huge difference in every exercise.

Happy Monday 💕

I read this post somewhere about setting yourself a weekly goal. It can be anything, drink more water, eat more vegies, take that extra walk, etc.

My goal atm is eat less sugar (in the form of treats (cookies and other good stuff) and drink more water!

What’s your goal? Remember it can be anything (non-fitness related too)

And I don’t think this dude (J.P) meant this as “do Pilates” so you can strengthen minor muscles, but more to highlight the importance of minor muscles and to make sure that, doing whatever exercise you do, also focus on this little ones that offer so much support to your body and also will help you achieve your goals RE major muscles 💪🏽
But, since I only teach Pilates, join my FREE zoom classes every week so we can work on them little ones together 👯‍♀️

⭐️ Happy Sunday⭐️
• Four point kneeling lower abs •
Hands in line with shoulders, push the floor away lifting your chest up, tuck tailbone slightly between legs, draw belly in and then lift the knees off the floor, hold for a couple of seconds then lower, tap the floor and lift back up. You can use a ball and grab the ball then drop at the top 🙃 🔥 🍫

Got my new set today and I am LOVING it!
I decided a few years ago to be a better human being and respect the earth a bit more, I became vegetarian, I try to minimise the use of plastic, trying to reuse more than recycle, I try not waste water, I don’t buy food with palm oil in ( you need to do better) and I try to buy almost everything eco-friendly and vegan/cruelty-free.
Most of my wardrobe is filled with activewear and I am (slowly) turning it into a more eco-friendly and better quality one.
If you are yet to find that brand that cares about the world and sells good stuff, I highly recommend ! Their activewear is super comfy and so soft plus dog-hair-resistant (I have a husky and his fluff doesn’t stick to my dharmabums clothing).
To give you an idea, I wore this tights today the whole day while I was WFH, then did a HIIT class and then went for a 30min run. The whole time I felt comfortable, didn’t have to be pulling them up every second squat and they are just so cute 💛💛💛
If you know any other brands please let me know 🖤

One more thing, I’m not saying you’re a bad human being if you are not doing the above. That’s my way of helping the 🌎

Who else believes this is true?
And, it does not mean you’ll magically have a six pack or lose weight. It means that your body will be different, stronger, your posture will get better, same as balance, own body awareness, muscle strength (not bigger, just stronger!) and you’ll def have toned, happier body strong enough to support every joint and bone of your body and will prevent common injuries as we get older 💪🏽
I love Pilates and Pilates has taught me to love my body and to care for it 💪🏽

Hi, my name is Andrea and I might be a workaholic 🥴
JKS, I don’t think I am but I do have two jobs & love to keep busy! (Yes, I know some people have 4 jobs and never get to sleep and breathe, etc)
Anyway, I work full time in Finance 🤓 and, as you know, I am a Pilates instructor 💪🏽 💕 currently teaching between 5-15 hours a week including my FREE zoom classes.
In the last few weeks, I have had this conversation with Pilates clients and Finance colleagues when I’ve had to say "I have to run back home for my day job" or "I have to run because I'm teaching tonight" and this is always followed by a "how many hours do you work?" followed by the compassionate puppy eyes look because I “work too much” (you know, head tilt to the right and “aww you poor thing” look).
As much as I appreciate the concern 💕 I do feel the need to tell… the world I guess, that I love teaching! it is not an "effort" what I do, I do it because I genuinely love it. Trust me, when I don't want to do something I simply don't (it can be bad sometimes 😆)... so, the moral of the story is, find that one thing you absolutely love and never let it go 💫
