4-week Tap Refresher Course w Ash & Ko | Starting 8:15pm Wednesday 10th June

About the course:

BEG (REFRESHER)

This REFRESHER tap course is for students who have previously taken foundational courses from Ko and Ash, OR already have basic tap knowledge. In this course we will focus on foundational steps, rhythm, musicality, and solid tap basics in a relaxed, supportive environment.
It’s a great class to build stronger technique and confidence while having fun!

About the Instructors:

Ashley and Ko are both extensively trained in Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Tap, Modern Theatre Jazz and Contemporary.
They are also well-versed in street dance styles such as Hiphop, Popping and House… and have both battled locally and internationally representing their crews Oh Sheila, USB and Stale Biskitz.

About the Instructor:
I began my dance journey at Crossover in 2022 and have met amazing teachers who have helped me grow. Dance has had a special place in my heart ever since as a way of release and connection to music. I focus on choreography and enjoy sharing the energy with others~

About the class:
The song is an Afro-fusion track with some R&B influence. The choreography is flowy, focusing on texture and control. Excited to dance with everyone!

Hi, I’m Hinano. I’ve been dancing for about 20 years. I’ve worked as a dance instructor and choreographic assistant for artists in Tokyo.

ARISA, representing Booyakasha and Gacha Gacha has been an active and influential figure in Sydney’s hip-hop scene since 2013.
Known for her groove and freestyle flow, she has shared her skills internationally, including teaching in Guangzhou, China in 2019.

About the class:
After almost 10 years of teaching K-Pop choreography at XO, Ryan is stepping outside the genre to bring one of the most legendary choreographies of all time to the studio - Michael Jackson’s Thriller! A lifelong MJ fan since the early 2000s, Ryan’s passion for pop culture and performance was heavily inspired by Michael’s artistry, and this special workshop blends that influence with the fun, supportive, and performance-focused teaching style XO students know and love. Whether you’re a longtime MJ fan, a K-Pop dancer wanting to try something new, or just ready to learn an iconic piece of choreography, this workshop is not to be missed!

About the instructor:
Ryan is a Sydney-based dancer who has been part of the studio community for over a decade, taking his first class in 2013 and later becoming an XOKpop instructor in 2017.

He usually teaches boy group and girl group K-pop choreographies, with a focus on Hip Hop, Urban, and Commercial styles.

For this special workshop Ryan will be applying his K-Pop Choreography teaching philosophies to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, having been a huge MJ fan since the early 2000s!

Ryan creates a supportive and fun class environment where students can build confidence in dance and performance - whether for themselves, on camera, or on stage!

I’m Janey from Taiwan I’ve been dancing for more than 20+ years now, experiencing multiple style including ballet, contemporary, hiphop and choreography. I’ve been teaching in multiple studios in Sydney working with kids and adults, very looking forward to share my work to everyone.
