Tough night out for the club at the 18th edition of Paddo Punch On. When we said we were going for 3-for-3, we assumed that everyone knew we had our sights set on winning, but someone missed the memo and we had the script flipped on us instead.

First cab off the rank was Alex, who was making his debut against another skilled operator. He had a stellar first round, but his opponent bit down on his gumshield to have a comeback in the second with the third being competitive, but not enough to get the nod from the judges. Alex has hinted at moving up from 70kg to 75kg in his next outting, which we look forward to being a part of.

Next up was Webster, who also had a solid showcase of skills in his first round, but lost the second after a knockdown was ruled against him (a trip, he says!) which turned the tide of the round. For the final stint he came out and got after it, but it was not enough in the eyes of the three people sitting ringside.

Last one on the chamber was Jen, who was matched against an experienced opponent she was familiar with from previous sparring sessions. The first round was a back-and-forth affair with both ladies throwing punches in bunches, though her opponent's use of distance management proved to be too much over the course of the three rounds.

Despite it not being their nights, all three contestants came out with high spirits and are looking to forward to jumping in again with a few more wrinkles added to their game!

Thanks to the the gang at for putting on a great event as usual and you will see us again very soon!

Almost a month ago SUBxC had three club members participate in the 17th rendition of Paddo Punch On hosted by at .

The opening performance was by .impellizzeri who put together all the pieces he had been working on in camp in what we thought was a dominant performance, though (to everyone's surprise) was not awarded the decision.

Next was in line was who, fresh off her last fight in September, showcased her ability to box technically in some spots and throw bombs in others to get the decision against a wiley southpaw.

Vic brought it home for the club, putting on a clinically intense display of boxing over the second long lefty of the night. The fight was stopped due to an accidental headbutt causing a cut above his eye, but he was given a well deserved nod for his second fight.

We are hoping that all three will be back in the ring soon and 2026 shapes up to be another exciting year for the club!

That's 2 of 2 debuts signed, sealed and delivered.

Great outing for both our guys Alec and Raymond at the latest rendition of Sydney Contender.

First cab off the rank of Alec at Hornsby RSL who was paired a skilled southpaw, but scored a scintillating stoppage I'm the first minute of the first round in front of a roaring crowd (his opponent was fine and will no doubt be back on the horse soon)!

The following week we had Raymond perform at Roundhouse UNSW. Despite his opponent missing weight, Raymond remained composed and displayed excelled distance management, a mature jab and solid right hand to control the fight and bring home the win on points!

We are looking forward two both of their next outings for the club! Congratulations fellas - setting a great example for SUBXC! 🥊🥊🥊

On 13 September, we were fortunate to have three members from the club compete in the 16th rendition of Paddo Punch On, organised by our friends at Sydney Fight League and hosted at Paddington RSL.

First off the mark was Webster, who earned another victory over a very spirited and much younger competitor half his age.

He was followed by the long-time debutant Vic, who displayed beautiful counter punching and combinations, but came up just short against an experienced pressure fighter.

Closing the show for the club was Jen, who showcased both grit and a nuanced catch and shoot game, though her opponent used her significant height and reach advantage to secure the win.

Thanks to the coaches .philosophical.trainer and who cornered our fighters and helped them them prepare with he support of the rest of the team.

Next up are three boys putting it out there for Sydney Contender - we'll see you all soon!

❤️❤️❤️
