Wear It Purple Day is this Friday, and we're getting ready to wear purple with pride. π
This year's theme, Colours of Courage, celebrates the strength it takes to live authentically and the people who show up in support. Founded to stand with LGBTQIA+ young people facing bullying and harassment, Wear It Purple Day reminds us that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued and supported.
On Friday 28 August, wear a splash of purple to show your support. Purple sweatbands will also be available during group exercise classes for anyone who would like to get involved.
At Cook + Phillip Park Pool, everyone is welcome.
Learn more about the cause on the Wear It Purple website. π

Getting ready for the Sydney Marathon on 30 August? πββοΈπββοΈ As you start tapering your training and easing back on the running, why not swap a run for a swim in our heated pool? πββοΈ
It's a great way to stay active while giving your body a break from the impact of running.
π¦ Keep your cardio ticking over
π¦ Move and loosen tired muscles
π¦ Give your joints a break
π¦ Enjoy a full-body, low-impact workout
π¦ Take some time to relax and reset
Your training has done the hard work β now itβs time to move smart, recover and get ready for race day! Good luck π

From 3 to 9 August, weβre recognising Loneliness Awareness Week.
Real connection often starts with the little moments we share every day. Whether it's a friendly smile before class or a chat afterwards, those moments help build a stronger community.
Join us on Wednesday 5 August from 12pm for a light brunch and a chance to connect, following our 11am GOLD Balance class.
Come for the class, stay for the catch up and leave feeling a little more connected than when you walked in π

World Drowning Prevention Day | 25 July
Every year, drowning impacts families and communities across Australia, but together we can help prevent it.
This World Drowning Prevention Day, we're supporting Royal Life Saving Australia's call to turn the tide on drowning by raising awareness of simple actions that save lives.
Remember to:
π Supervise children around water
π Learn to swim
π Wear a lifejacket
π Check pool fences and gates
π Learn CPR
π Know the conditions before entering the water
π Avoid alcohol and drugs around water
Together, our actions can save lives. π
To learn more about our swimming programs, visit our website (link in bio) or chat to our team in-centre.
