Another look at a bike we fi wished ultra last minute for .bike this past weekend. Sub 1kg hardtail frame project, built up in single speed mode with a lefty fork. Bunch of XT parts in there, headset box car stem and a smattering of finishing kit.
Super fun bike to ride, glad we got it over the line after an all noghter to finish everything.

Here it is in the flesh, new signature Chimera frame. Tried and tested geometry designed by the man himself and fabricated in our workshop in the Hunter valley.
Built to be a great all rounder, race cx, bike pack and carry your gear or blast the sea wall in Newcastle.
Frame is built from spirit, life and Zona tubes with head tube, dropouts and t47 bottom bracket and tig welded.
Epic marbled paint with bronze logos by .

The frame will be called MCA or McA, which is for is for McAdam.

Macadam is a type of road construction pioneered by Scottish engineer John Loudon McAdam around 1820, in which crushed stone is placed in shallow, convex layers and compacted thoroughly.

Latest Chimera prototype gravel frame fresh back from paint. Full tig welded construction from mini Max, Zona and life tubes wrapped up in colourshift paint from . Hopefully once lock down is over we’ll be batch building these and they’ll be available in our Newcastle shop which we hope to get open ASAP. Meanwhile we dropped off all of our new park tools and checked with Rusty .cycling that the gravel frame has his seal of approval, smile says it all!
