I got my drivers license at 29 years old
At least a decade after the majority of my mates
But that doesn’t change the fact that today I can walk downstairs, unlock my car and go for a drive wherever I’d like to go
Did I do it later than a lot of people? Yes
Did I have more anxieties around learning because I waited so long? Honestly probably yeah
Were there times I’d get worried what people would say when I told them I was still learning at 28/29? Absolutely
Does that change the end result now that I went and did it anyway?
Not at all
And that’s what I wanted you all to focus on when you’re doubting yourself in your fitness journeys just because you didn’t start lifting weights at 16 in your parents basement
It’s never too late to put your health first
It’s never too late to chase being strong, being jacked, being lean, being mobile… whatever it is you wanna work towards
And I guarantee you that you judge yourself for the late start far harder than anyone around you worth knowing does
So you got two choices
One day
Or
Day one

Not many better things than fresh oysters by the river in the sun
Alpacas like to spit food at you
Harry Potter is still goated
I suck at golf but the only way is up
Sydney’s coffee game is so much better than its Matcha game
tracksuits are hectic
I’ve been filming content in gyms for 5 years now and my golden rule
Is that I always try to treat members with as much respect as possible
If they want me to move, I move
If they’re worried about being in the background, I move
If they’re uncomfortable with the camera around, I move
It’s why I always try and film at quiet times of day in what’s generally a quieter gym at the best of times
If you film in a public gym, the members are there to train - and they and their workouts should be respected
Do that and most often you’ll get respect back
Yes there are always going to be a few unhinged people who will lash out for for no reason regardless of if you’re doing the right thing
This might be especially prevalent if you’re a younger creator or a female creator as you’re perceived as an “easier target” by people who just want an argument which is a whole other debate sadly
But the majority of gym goers simply just don’t want to be an unwilling extra in your content - and that is absolutely OKAY, they shouldn’t have to be
This happened a few months back but I loved this interaction so much I wanted to repost it
I’ve seen this guy so many times since and he always stops for a chat asks about exercises it’s super nice
Leaning forward on the abduction machine isn’t
‘Costing you glute gains’ 🤦🏻♂️
code ‘Jack’
I don’t really get the people pushing this one at all
But this is why you can’t just go thinking every variation on social media is the best thing since sliced bread just because it has views
This is cheeks
And not in the good way 🤷🏻♂️
Just do literally any single leg exercise that works the glutes
I never got to take that damn nap
Anyway here’s how you grow thicc thighs
code ‘Jack’ trust me
Genuinely grinds my gears SO badly that there are pages and companies out there who think this is okay
The crazy part is that focussing on your health and fitness is such a net positive for every human on planet earth
Yet the amount of deception and lying that gets pushed just to make money is so damn gross
And it’s no wonder so many people are currently disillusioned with the fitness industry as a whole
Selling BS is one thing
But selling BS through AI transformations is a whole ‘nother level of sh*tty behaviour
Please be so careful what you listen to and digest on social media because this is getting out of hand
If you want to make a long term meaningful transformation there are no shortcuts, no magic methods and if something sounds too good to be true sorry to tell you but it is

Unlike a lot of influencers I’ve been coaching/training people since way before I was making content
I just do that part because it’s fun
First and foremost I’m a coach who gets real people epic results… if I do say so myself 🤷🏻♂️
And seeing as I’m taking new clients to start this month I figured I’d just remind you guys what I actually do
So comment ‘influencer’ if you’d like more information because as always I’m only taking a small handful of people to keep my service at the highest possible level
Lookin’ forward to working with ya
Cable Lateral Raises are amazing for building bigger shoulders
But we probably don’t need to overthink them
Low cable height -> awesome
Hand height cable -> also awesome, just gonna be heavier at the bottom now
Doesn’t make it necessarily better, just different
And that’s good to know if you need to alter your variations at all during your training but that’s all you need to worry about it for
