From Sydney Harbour to Newport 🌏
Our Women’s International Championship squad, led by Vice Commodore Karyn Gojnich OLY, are training hard on the Melges IC37 - made possible with the support of Members Scott Lawson and David Ferguson.
An exciting step on the journey to September’s regatta at the New York Yacht Club. Stay tuned for the team selection announcement this July.

Discover Sailing at Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron!
Have you ever wanted to experience sailing on Sydney Harbour in a welcoming, supportive and social environment?
At Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, our Discover Sailing courses offer a relaxed and engaging introduction to sailing for adults of all experience levels - from complete beginners to those looking to refine their on water skills.
You’ll sail aboard the Club’s fleet of stable Elliott 7 keelboats, learning in small groups with guidance from experienced, Australian Sailing–qualified instructors. These courses focus on confidence, enjoyment and connection - both on the water and within the Club community.
Discover Sailing courses include:
⛵ Adult Discover Keelboat Sailing
📅 Sundays | 8.30am – 12pm
A perfect weekend activity and a wonderful way to share the experience and joy of sailing with new friends.
⛵ Ladies of the Sea (LOTS)
📅 Wednesdays | 9.30am – 1pm
A relaxed midweek program for women sailing together in a supportive and friendly environment.

On Saturday morning, we were honoured to hold the Squadron’s Inaugural ANZAC Day Ceremony & Gunfire Breakfast, which included a Commemorative Address delivered by Major General Fergus 'Gus' McLachlan, AO (Retd).
Members and guests came together in reflection to honour the service and sacrifice of those who have served our nation, past and present.
A commemorative display honouring Squadron Members who served during the First and Second World Wars, curated by our History & Archives Committee, is now available to view in the CCA until Friday 1 May for Members and Guests.

Set against the iconic backdrop of Sydney Harbour in Kirribilli, the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron has been a cornerstone of Australian sailing since its establishment in 1862. Today, the Squadron continues to evolve, playing a leading role in growing participation in the sport as a proud Discover Sailing Centre.
