We were really happy to help Omnium Cargo Australia showing some beautiful bikes at the recent Spoken Bike Show at Carriageworks in Sydney. This gorgeous Titanium Minimax custom build was a highlight of the display running SRAM Rival, a Trasmission Wireless rear derailleur, Deore XT 4 piston brakes, hand built wheels with carbon rims and Son Dynamo front hub and lights. It gets some extra upgrades like the super light mesh, carbon rack, custom Hungry Frame bag and some colourful bling from Chris King, and Thomson. *tolympics

Enormous congratulations shop crew member Zac finishing the Tour Divide last night. Zac blazed through the 4418km course in a ridiculous time of 19 days, averaging more than 220kms a day off road, through rough terrain and wild weather. Zac was riding a Tumbleweed Stargazer built here in house at Omafiets with an assortment of kit from our favorite suppliers, Curve Carbon fork, Klite dynamo lights and charging, Bikebagdude custom frame bag, Berthoud saddle, Son dynamo hub. We wish him some deserved days off the bike !

Josh’s Surly Straggler just got reborn after a paint strip and rebuild. It been stripped to raw metal with just smudges of the original paint as a reminder of where it’s been. New crankset, aero chainring, Gabaruk rear derailleur expander and some chunky Rene Herse rubber. It’s headed to Italy for some touring before a Tassie trail adventure later in the year.

The Kona Unit is a firm favorite here at Omafiets and our new workshop Manager Josh just built up this ripper of a single speed. Featuring DT Swiss special edition pink 350 Deg hubs (72t ratchet !) and a rather niche XD driver single speed conversion kit from Wheels MFG. Shimano XT cranks and Hydro brakes and some excellent Ahearne Uprising bars. Custom top cap from another Omafiets workshop legend Tom rounds out a great fun daily rider.
