GOPT- Strength and Fitness We inspire and empower people ready to make meaningful change in their lives. GOPT Group PT studio/ gym is located at Minchinbury, in Western Sydney.

Our program does its best work with adults who are at a point in their life where they have had enough of poor quality health and fitness, are unhappy with their bodies and are ready to raise their standards. Our coaching program follows a system of constant and never ending improvement in 5 key areas we have control over. Sleep
Nutrition
Mindset
Training
Connection with people around you. A huge part of our athletes success comes down to them being part of a fitness family, a community of people striving to be and do better, a team of coaches who are committed to our athletes outcomes and connection with good quality people on a daily basis. What we do and ask our athletes to do is not easy, it takes time and we don't offer quick fixes. We provide tools, strategies and systems that stay with you for life, just like the results you achieve. The thing that has our athletes staying members for years and years is that we have heaps of fun doing it.

The miss is the part most people skip past.

Don't.

Lyndal had a scary one on the rings, got herself together, and walked straight back up to them. That takes more guts than the lift itself.
Then the room lost it. 🔥

That's what we're about at GOPT: showing up, backing yourself, and having people around who back you too. DM us if you want in.

Ever spent 60 minutes at the gym and 35 of them were working out what to do?

Yeah. We don't do that here.

Mic'd up in the brief. This is what happens before every class at GOPT. Program is set. Coach explains it. You train. We guide you every step of the way.

Behind the scenes at our weekly team meeting.

Member wins, member struggles, upcoming events, made up words.

We don't just run classes, we keep track of how you're actually going and we really care.

Most people who walk into the gym only know me as the owner. Not many know what it took to get here.

For about 18 years I battled drugs and alcohol. Rehab at 26, then a decade of in and out, thinking I could sort it on my own. I couldn't.

Over 11 years sober now. Husband, dad, gym owner, athlete, coach.

I'm sharing this because a lot of the people who come through our doors are carrying something too. Maybe it's not drugs or booze. Maybe it's weight, confidence, stress, or just feeling stuck.

Whatever it is, where you are today doesn't have to be where you stay.

That's what GOPT is about. It always has been.

Don't take it for Granted.

Our physical capacity is indeed a gift.

Are you doing all you can to preserve and maximise it or are you taking it for granted, because sometimes life can throw us lemons 🍋.

Trent made a decision over a year ago to not take his health and fitness for granted, and his capacity has improved in all areas.

Are you ready to take some action?

Send us a message to find out how we help.

Heard a radio ad the other day. Sponsored by Eli Lilly. Telling people carrying extra weight to go talk to their doctor.

And look — medication like tirzepatide works. People lose serious weight on it. But nobody's talking about what kind of weight.

Because some of that isn't fat. It's muscle. And the older you get, muscle is the last thing you want to be losing.

As a coach who is almost 50, maintaining muscle and capacity for me and our members is a real priority.

This isn't me having a go at the medication. It's me saying we're asking the wrong question.

Everyone wants to know "how much weight did you lose." Nobody's asking "how much of that was fat, and how much muscle did you actually keep."

If you're on it, or thinking about it — strength training and protein aren't optional extras. They're the difference between ending up lighter, and ending up stronger.

Lighter isn't the goal. Capable and healthier should be

Taking the time after a class to improve our members understanding, have them connect stronger to why they are here and give them more purpose in their training is really important to us.

We urge our members to know their numbers in relation to their performance so they can then strive to improve.

They don't always know their numbers 🤗 but they know it's important so we work together to strive to improve.

When Richelle McLean popped into open gym on Sunday morning she probably didn't expect to become a super star, but now she is.

First time lifting with the big green plates, first time dropping the plates from overhead, first time clean and jerking 35kg and first time at Sunday open gym.

Sound like a cool day with friends setting some new personal records.

For our members AKA our athletes, this is an everyday occurrence. Being coached individually in a group class

For anyone else, we have decided to give you some BTS AKA, behind the scenes, so you can see what it's actually like getting fitter, stronger and healthier with us.

We will call this 'BTS at GOPT" for those watching along at home wondering if we are for you.

Liszt can now bang out 3 strict pull-ups

Unassisted. No band, no swing, no kip.

Doesn't sound like much until you know the backstory — years of training, then life happens, she has a baby, training stops. The kind of break that makes most people think "well that's it, back to zero."

It's not back to zero. It's back to building.

If you've ever looked at a pull-up bar and thought "not a chance," this is your reminder — it's not about being the strongest person in the room. It's about showing up again after the stuff that knocks you out of the gym for good reason. Kids, injuries, life. You come back, you put the work in, and one day you're doing pull-ups you didn't think were possible

Proud of this one, Liszt👏
