THE RACS NSW have opened their RACS NSW Essay Competition, where they want final year med students to contribute and write about the following prompt, “If tasked with establish a rural surgical service in Australia, how would you design it to ensure safety, equity and sustainability.”

Your responses will directly guide statewide advocacy, policy discussions, wellbeing initiatives, internship support, and the issues we take to universities, NSW Health, HETI, government bodies, and professional organisations.

We cannot properly represent medical students without hearing from the people we represent.

• Internship and workforce concerns
• Student opportunities and engagement
