With winter coming on in New Zealand, Golden Oldies rugby players are trying to remember where their boots are and wondering how come their jersey has shrunk.
Waiuku Wolves hosted their annual Golden Oldies tournament recently. A big day of casual footy and plenty of refreshments.
Teams in attendance were, Waiuku Wolves, Maramarua Red Fox Relics, Tuakau Terra bulls, Mount Wellington Cavaliers, Mt Eden Outlaws, Karaka and Pakuranga Pork Hunters.
Is rugby a great game or what?

Perennial good guys, the Nelson Bay Grey Gropers, hosted their 41st annual Golden Oldies Rugby Gala Day in mid-April.
Leading the way was legendary Grey Groper club president, Ray Milton, and other teams to participate were the Central Coast Seagulls, Avoca White Pointers, Raymond Terrace Uglies, Lake Macquarie Roos and the Terrigal Turtles All Abilities side.
Player of the Tournament was 55 year old Brett Moss (pictured) from the Grey Gropers.
Ray Milton told local newspaper, Port Stephens News Of The Area, "rugby was the winner on the day" with many of the old boys "turning back the clock" and enjoying the catch-up with a hard fought game and refreshment or two in social surrounds.
Golden Oldies Rugby loves to hear what you're all up to and that Over 35s rugby is alive and well.

Peter FitzSimons take on Golden Oldies Rugby.
Peter has become a living Australian icon. FitzSimons, who won eight caps as a Wallaby, is a high profile writer, broadcaster, columnist and public speaker.
He was also part of the Mossman Whales. The former Sydney University player moved to the Mossman area and became a regular with the club.
"The team are all mates of mine – blokes that I have played with going back 30 years ago and we are still good mates. It’s nice to be involved this week with the Golden Oldies and it’s all good fun,” he said.
“The running around I like a bit. The camaraderie afterward I love a lot.”
Nailed it Pete!
As an aside, I've recently read Peter's biographies on Nancy Wake (The White Mouse) and another WWII hero Weary Dunlop - excellent, excellent books.
Weary Dunlop was also in the first Wallaby team to win the Bledisloe Cup.
