Happy Friday! This is my cascading Juniper acquired in 2016 from a nursery as a really full broad plant. It’s reduced really well and has great movement.

Happy Friday everyone! This weeks Bonsai - micro Fig (Moreton Bay) about 5cm tall and trained with cotton thread. I’ve had it for about five years. What a beauty!

Bonsai Friday! Finally got around to photographing some of my trees to share starting with a splash of colour. I acquired this Bougainvillea in 2014 and have been training it into a ‘Bunjin’ style since. It literally flowers it’s head off most of the year and is a great addition to the collection.

Great to be out in the wild surveying - still not all that confident with horses though 😂

Another success bringing together function, safety and tree sensitive design. This FRP material bridges over the street trees major roots while allowing air and water to filter through. The material has better grip, will last longer and conflict less than standard concrete designs. Working with the teams that actually install these structures is critical to the retention of healthy street trees.

2014 Port Jackson Fig, pulled this guy out of a clients gutter (with permission) and trained it up. Who knew it would look so good!

Analysis of tree failure potential is more accurate and more rewarding if you take time to seek the facts.

We love tree management on all scales! Root pruning on large trees is also possible if carried out correctly.
