We've heard it a lot, from mother Theresa to Lenny Kravitz: Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow is yet to come. What does that leave us? - TODAY.
Saying that yesterday is gone does not mean that we should forget about it, every experience we've had has helped form the person we are today and that means that our past lives in us forever. But WE can't live in the past.
Tomorrow is just in our imagination. It is a tool we use to organize our lives, but it is fictional. There is no way to actually plan tomorrow because the moment it comes it becomes today.
That is why a healthy mind stays in the present; it's good to remember, and it's good to plan.. But life should only be lived in the now.
