Matsuri Drift WARZ – Sydney Motorsport Park

Sydney, are you ready? Matsuri Drift WARZ is taking over Sydney Motorsport Park for two full days of non-stop drift action! With five dedicated drift zones, custom track layouts, and a first-ever AASA rule change allowing tandem and passengers for ALL drivers, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Throughout the weekend, drivers will have access to five dedicated drift areas:

💥 Spectator tickets are online-only! Buy online, then go to Gate A and drive into the venue to park anywhere you want for the best vantage points. Move around all day—no need to walk far to find the best view!
🚫 Spectators cannot drive through the tunnel into the pit area, but you can park for free before the tunnel and walk in to see your favorite drivers up close!

🚗 Breaking News – AASA Rule Changes!
For the first time EVER at Sydney Motorsport Park, AASA has approved open tandem and 1 passenger rides for ALL drivers—caged or uncaged!
✅ Caged & Uncaged Cars Welcome
✅ All Drivers Can Take 1 Passenger
✅ All Drivers Can Tandem Drift (Max 2 Cars Unless Previously Approved)
This is the same setup as Queensland Raceway, and we’re excited to bring it to Sydney for the first time!
💳 AASA License Required – Most drivers already have one. If you don’t, grab yours at www.aasa.com.au before the event.

🏁 Most drifting is just for fun, but there will be some competitions throughout the weekend.

Haven’t posted in a little while but we have 130 entrants now and lots more enquiry about May which is great

You should also understand the push to do December had a 2 fold plan to do really know if December might of worked or not. So it was a test. It showed it wouldn’t would not enough numbers which is ok

You should also know smsp has just 52 weekends and 500 clients like me who want one so dates are prescious

Ok folks we have 105 entrants and 1 week to find 100 more which won’t happen in time because everyone who is keen has already entered so thanks for jumping in quickly

So I could just say that’s it and cancel the gig and refund everyone however I’ve thrown out one more lifeline and I’ve asked the track for a cost if I dropped Friday night and Sunday, how much would just a big day Saturday cost. I’m waiting on their response because after all the effort we have all put in SMSP still wants us to put this on so we can get some experience under our belt so the next one in May possibly can be run with even better precision

So I’ve got 3 options for ya’ll

1. Full Refund
2. 1 Day Matsuri for the same entry fee you have already paid. Yes it’s less value but still way cheaper than $400 for 4 hours and no more entries will be accepted keeping it at 105 entrants meaning you’ll run out of tyres before you run out of track time
3. Transfer your fee to May 2025 and open entries for that event next week
