Newborn volunteer process

Volunteer Information

First and foremost, thank you for volunteering to help me complete my studies. Here is a little bit of information you will need to know about the process.

• As I am still in training, I have a mentor who is an internationally certified baby sleep consult above me who will be checking over everything that I send to you. You can be rest assured that all the information given to you is checked by a certified baby sleep consultant.
• Due to the above reason, there may be delays in answers to your questions and responses to adjusting your sleep plan if needed. This is simply because I have to write it up, get my
mentor to check it, fix any errors and send it back to you. So please be patient while waiting for responses regarding alterations (approximately a week at the most) however please do not hesitate to call/email me for support in between these times.
• One of the key elements of helping children sleep is being consistent. What I need from my volunteers is for them to be consistent in the methods I will be teaching. Please be upfront
and honest if you cannot commit or if something isn’t working for you please let me know so we can tailor things to suit you better.
• I will try and be as time efficient as possible as I do have a deadline so I would appreciate if you could do the same with me.
• You will need to fill out an intake form so I can get a bigger picture about your child and the problems you are facing. Please be as detailed as possible as this will help me to help you better. You can either print it and write on it, take photos and email/text it back to me or you can fill it in electronically and send it back that way.
• After I have finished working with you I will be required to write up a case study on what problems you were having and how we tackled them so that I can complete my training. Please note, no personal information will be given out and will only ever use the child’s first name when writing my case study (if this is a problem, please let me know and I can change your child’s name when writing my final case study).
• I am covered under my mentor’s liability insurance and it is for this reason that I must practice safe SIDS requirements and follow all health and safety protocols. If you are unable to follow these guidelines then unfortunately I will be unable to work with you.
• Please contact me anytime if you have any questions at any time. I can be contacted using the information below via phone call, text and emails which I will be checking regularly but also via messenger on this page which will generally receive a quicker response than email.
