After purchasing this 2009 yz 125 3 weeks ago, it was running rich so we dropped the needle in the carb 1 notch to see would it run better and this is the result.
1 Lap around Nowra Motoplex. It was late in the day and the track had dried out alot. Early in the morning the track was prime.

🔥How low can you go?
🔥Do you struggle with leaning over in the turns?
🔥Tip #10🔥
If your tired of your front wheel running out over the berm or popping out of the rut then try this:
1️⃣ Ride towards the corner with momentum and release everything early (brakes, clutch, throttle), be in the correct gear.
2️⃣ Sit forward and allow suspension to settle.
3️⃣ Roll and just steer the bike to the apex of the corner, then smoothly get the power on to accelerate out while still leaning forward.
Try this the next time you ride and let us know how you get on.

🔥Do you struggle when riding sand Tracks?🔥
✖️Front wheel tucks every corner?✖️
🔥Tip #9🔥
There is a combination of things that you need to consider when getting ready for sand riding.
The most important is suspension setup as if you can't stay on top of the sand or get full travel from the suspension when hitting the rolling bumps then none of the others matter.
So next time you ride try dropping your forks in the clamps to raise the front of the bike. Also stiffen up your forks 2-4 clicks to begin with on the compression. This will help the front forks sit higher in the stoke and stop that dreaded front wheel tucking. You will gain more confidence and be able to push harder and hopefully get the results you are chasing.

Do you struggle with suspension set up?
Is your suspension working with you or against you?
🔥Tip #8 🔥
Suspension setup is another very important part of your setup. Having your suspension set up for your weight and ability is crucial for best performance. There is no point in having a strong motor if your bike is bouncing around not allowing you to get power to the ground.
1 - Make sure your spring rate is correct for your weight.
2 - Depending on your ability you might need a suspension technician to revalue (for advanced riders)
3 - Always start from stock settings. Set to stock then adjust clickers no more than 2 clicks either way before testing.
Pros:
✅ Improved traction
✅ More confidence
✅ Reduces arm pump
✅ Increase race speed
✅ Reduce lap times

Are your starts killing your race results???

✅ Constant power
✅ Grip bike with knees (balance)
✅ Stay loose and relaxed (for balance)
✅ Stand up
Don't:
✖️Sit with legs off pegs (dangling legs)
✖️Shut power off
✖️ Brake or pull the clutch
✖️ Follow another rider through the same rut
✖️Look down towards your front wheel

🔥Tip #5🔥
Using the clutch:
Pros:
✅Keep revs up
✅Can ride higher gears
✅Carries momentum
✅Suspension works better
✅Limit wheel spin
✅Assists braking
Cons:
✖️Lose of balance
✖️Can lead to excessive braking (sliding)
✖️Lose of momentum
✖️Suspension works less
✖️Less control
Next time you ride think about how your using the clutch. Used correctly it will drop lap times significantly.
