"I’m heartbroken. Last week, a 12-year-old girl—just 12 years old—ended her life because of relentless bullying. I can barely breathe thinking about it. Can you even imagine? As a parent, my heart aches in a way I can't describe. I can’t even begin to fathom what her family is going through. The weight of that loss is unbearable.⁣⁣

And yet... here I am, looking at social media over the past 48 hours, and I’m angry. Angry because this tragedy isn’t an isolated event. Angry because I see people—grown adults—setting the worst example for the very kids we’re meant to protect.⁣⁣

I’ve watched people film others in the gym to mock them. Making fun of someone who’s just trying to show up for themselves. I’ve seen people with children tear others apart online just because they dared to have a different opinion.

Our kids are watching. They see everything. Every cruel comment. Every hateful video. Every act of disrespect. They’re learning from us. From the way we bully each other. From the way we attack strangers behind a screen.

How did we get here?⁣⁣

Is it any wonder we have a bullying crisis in our younger generation? When adults are out here treating each other like this? When their role models are showing them it’s okay to laugh at someone’s pain or shame them for trying?⁣⁣

It starts at home. It starts with the parents, with the adults. WE set the standard. It’s time to take responsibility for what we’re teaching our kids. We owe them a better world than this. A world where kindness, respect, and empathy are the norm, not the exception.

Enough is enough. For the kids who feel so trapped, so hopeless, they see no way out. For every child who thinks bullying is normal. It’s on us to do better. We have to. We MUST."

Are you experiencing symptoms like missing periods, constant tiredness, lack of motivation, stalled progress, or frequent illness?

While these issues might seem hormone-related, let’s first consider if Low Energy Availability (LEA) could be the culprit.

What if the real issue is that you’re undereating and dealing with LEA? Under-eating is a real health issue that can significantly impact your well-being. A simple tweak in your diet strategy might help eliminate these symptoms without resorting to a bunch of unnecessary supplements.

I weigh less in the ‘before’ pic. The “before” picture captures a time when I was battling with my health, with doctors expressing concerns about my thyroid and recommending specialist consultations. Yet, despite seemingly other normal blood results, I knew deep down something wasn’t right. My physically demanding job as a coach became an uphill battle, and each day felt like a struggle just to get through.
But here’s the twist: in the “after” picture, I weigh more, yet I look and feel leaner and more vibrant. How? Because I made a conscious decision to prioritize my overall well-being over a number on the scale.
I’m sharing this not to boast about physical changes, although I’m damn proud , but to celebrate the mental and emotional growth that accompanies true transformation. It’s about realizing that progress isn’t always reflected in digits, but in how we feel, how we move, and how we live our lives.
This journey began when I reached out to Jake, seeking help. He became more than a coach; he was a guiding light, coaching me back to health both physically and mentally. Traditional medicine had left me feeling stuck, but Jake’s personalized approach breathed new life into my journey. The road wasn’t easy, but his unwavering support and expertise empowered me to reclaim my vitality and thrive in both my personal and professional life. Jake doesn’t often share the results he achieves, but I’ll gladly sing his praises at every opportunity. Four years of coaching together have transformed not just my body, but my entire outlook on life.
Growing up, weight was always a focal point, a measure of worth ingrained in me from a young age. But today, I stand proud, liberated from the shackles of the scale. My worth isn’t determined by a number; it’s defined by my resilience, my determination, and my ability to rise above challenges.
So here’s a gentle reminder to anyone struggling with their own journey: don’t let the scale dictate your worth. Your story is so much more than a number. Embrace every step of your journey, celebrate your victories, and remember, the true measure of success lies in how you feel in your own skin.

"Reflecting on the journey of healing and personal growth, I've noticed a trend in the social media landscape that's been weighing on my mind. While the message of self-empowerment and prioritizing our own well-being is undoubtedly important, it seems that somewhere along the way, we've lost sight of the profound impact we can have on others.

Yes, it's liberating to recognize and detach from the projections of others, to set boundaries, and to focus on our own growth. But in doing so, are we inadvertently neglecting the human connections and responsibilities that come with navigating this shared journey called life?

We're not solitary beings; we're intricately woven into the fabric of each other's lives. Every interaction, whether online or offline, carries the potential to uplift or deflate someone's spirit. And while it's crucial to honor our own needs and boundaries, let's not forget the transformative power of compassion and kindness.

In a world where it's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of personal fulfillment, let's make a conscious effort to leave a positive imprint on those we encounter. Let's choose empathy over indifference, understanding over judgment, and kindness over apathy.

I'm not sure about you, but if I left someone questioning themselves or their self-worth, it just wouldn't sit well with me.

So, as we navigate this complex landscape of healing and self-discovery, let's remember that our journey isn't just about us—it's about how we show up for others, how we contribute to the collective healing of humanity. Let's strive to leave each person we encounter a little brighter, a little more hopeful, than we found them. Together, let's create a ripple effect of compassion that transcends the boundaries of our screens and reaches the hearts of all those around us. 💖 "

🐰🍫✨ Let's talk Easter and chocolate guilt! 🌷

If your coach or Instafluencer is equating your chocolate bunny to a 15km run, 1000 burpees, or a 3-hour weight session, it's time to show them the door and tell them to take a hike—preferably with a bag of dicks in tow. 🙅‍♀️

Firstly, let's get one thing straight: punishing our bodies because we enjoyed some chocolate is not the vibe. Exercise should be a celebration of what our bodies can do, not a form of self-flagellation for indulging in a treat. 🎉

Secondly, can we please stop with the food shaming? Whether it's broccoli for health or chocolate for a yearly celebration, food is meant to be enjoyed without the guilt trip. 🥦🍫

Let's remember, overeating is never just about the food. My clients have learned to incorporate chocolate into their daily lives without the guilt trip. So, if you're feeling like you're on the verge of an Easter egg binge, maybe it's time to loosen those restrictions and find balance. 🔄

This is exactly the kind of mindset shift we dive into with my NLP and trauma work—understanding why we turn to food in times of stress or celebration. But hey, that's a story for another day. 😉

So this Easter, let's ditch the guilt, enjoy our treats guilt-free, and remember that balance is key—both in our diets and in our lives. 🐣💕

As a coach, my purpose is to educate and inspire you on your path to a healthier and happier life. But I also want to address something concerning that I've seen in the coaching world—shaming and demonising certain food choices.
Honestly, it breaks my heart to witness this dangerous approach to coaching. Shaming people for their food choices not only undermines their self-esteem but can also pave the way for disordered eating patterns and a negative relationship with food.
Here's the truth: change that comes from a place of shame or fear is not sustainable. It may lead to temporary shifts, but the foundation is shaky, and it's challenging to maintain positive progress. That's why I wholeheartedly reject such practices.
Instead, I firmly believe in the power of education and positivity. When we understand the science behind our choices and their impact on our health, we can make informed decisions that resonate with our well-being.
Together with my clients, we'll explore a world of nourishing foods and mindful practices, celebrating the variety and joy they bring into our lives. There's no room for labelling foods as "good" or "bad." What matters is how they make us feel and support our journey toward health and happiness.
In this space, you'll never face judgment or shame for your choices. We'll foster an environment of compassion and understanding, embracing self-care and self-love. It's about creating a loving relationship with our bodies, appreciating all they do for us.
Through knowledge, positivity, and compassion, I aim to empower you to make choices that align with your unique needs and goals. Our focus is on long-term well-being, not short-lived fixes or restrictive measures that aren't necessary.
This is where my qualifications of Strength Coach, Sports Nutritionist and NLP Practitioner amalgamate into one.

The Importance of Energy Availability for Women's Health: Bridging the Gender Gap in Dietary Trends

In recent years, there has been a surge of interest in health and fitness, with various dietary trends gaining popularity. However, it's crucial to recognise that not all dietary recommendations suit everyone, especially when it comes to gender differences. Women, in particular, have distinct energy requirements and face unique challenges related to low energy availability. This post aims to shed light on the topic, emphasising the need for women to prioritise their health by understanding their specific energy needs.
Energy availability refers to the energy intake (calories consumed through food) minus the energy expended (calories burned during exercise and daily activities). For women, maintaining adequate energy availability is crucial for overall health and well-being.Historically, much of the dietary research has been conducted on male participants, leading to a lack of understanding of women's unique nutritional requirements. While some dietary recommendations may work well for men, they might not be suitable for women, leading to potential health issues.Research suggests that women need around 40-45 calories per kilogram of fat-free mass (FFM) to maintain their health. Fat-free mass includes everything in the body except for fat, such as muscles, bones, organs, and water. It's important to note that this is a general guideline, and individual variations exist based on factors like activity levels, metabolism, and overall health. When women consume fewer than 30 calories per kilogram of fat-free mass, they may experience a range of issues related to low energy availability. These issues include menstrual irregularities, hormonal imbalances, decreased bone density, impaired immune function, increased risk of injuries, and overall compromised health.Men's Energy Needs:Interestingly, men's energy perturbance is observed when they drop to 15 calories per kilogram of fat-free mass. This significant difference emphasises the necessity for tailored dietary guidelines to address women's specific health requirements. To promote optimal energy availability and overall health, women must focus on a balanced and nutrient-rich diet. Adequate intake of macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) is essential. Exercise plays a vital role in overall health, but it can also increase energy demands. Women who engage in physical activity must be mindful of their energy intake to ensure they have enough energy available to support both daily activities and exercise routines. As we become more conscious of health and wellness, it is essential to recognise that dietary trends are not one-size-fits-all, especially when considering the differences between men and women. Understanding the concept of energy availability and its specific impact on women's health is crucial for promoting overall well-being. By embracing personalised nutrition and acknowledging the importance of adequate energy intake, women can take charge of their health and thrive in their individual journeys to well-rounded wellness.

🌸 Embracing the Divine Feminine Journey 🌸

I want to share some thoughts about the way we talk about our bodies and those natural phases we go through as women. It's time to change the language we use around our periods and embrace the beauty of perimenopause.

First things first, let's ditch the outdated term 'the curse' when referring to our periods. Our menstrual cycles are a remarkable and essential part of being a woman. It's a time when our bodies are preparing us for one of our most incredible abilities – carrying a baby. How amazing is that? 🌟 Our xx chromosomes are designed for this purpose, and it's something to celebrate!

Embracing our periods means embracing the ebb and flow of our feminine energy. We are strong and capable but also beautifully soft and flowy. Let's honour these shifts and remember that they are a natural part of who we are as women. 🌊💪🌹

And now, let's talk about 'the change' – perimenopause. Instead of fearing it or seeing it as a daunting phase, let's recognize it as a powerful transition in our lives. Menopause doesn't mean we're changing; it's about adapting to the new state of being and embracing our hormones as they evolve.

During perimenopause, we continue to embody the essence of womanhood. It's not a time of limitation but a time of transformation and growth. Just as we've embraced the different facets of our femininity throughout our lives, let's welcome this phase with open arms. 🌺✨

So, my lovely ladies, let's change the narrative and empower ourselves and others by using positive language reflecting the beauty and strength of a woman. Let's celebrate our bodies, embrace the divine feminine journey, and support each other through all the incredible phases of life.

🌸 Embracing the Journey of Puberty: Irregular Periods 🌸

I want to talk about a topic that's often shrouded in silence and misunderstanding: irregular periods during puberty. 🩸

To all pubescent girls out there (and parents of), remember this: You are NOT alone! It's entirely normal for our bodies to take some time to find their rhythm during this transformative phase of life. 🌟 Irregular periods are one way our bodies adapt to the incredible changes happening inside us. So, let's ditch the shame and embrace the journey! 🌺

Here's something important to discuss: the idea of putting young girls on hormonal birth control (the pill) to "regulate" their periods. It's essential to question whether they're the best option for managing irregular cycles. 🤔

Our bodies are wonderfully unique, and the fluctuations in our menstrual cycles can happen for various reasons. Sometimes, irregularities resolve themselves naturally over time as we grow and mature.

Instead of rushing into medication, let's focus on understanding our bodies better! Let's have open conversations with trusted adults or healthcare providers to explore alternative solutions, lifestyle adjustments, and coping mechanisms that empower us to listen to and respect our bodies' natural rhythms.

Embracing Body Positivity while Addressing Health.

Ladies, listen up.

As we celebrate the beauty and diversity of our bodies, it's important to recognise the underlying issues related to excess body fat. Let's shed light on one such aspect – the effects of excess adipose tissue, particularly on the abdomen.

Research shows that excess abdominal fat can have long-term consequences, even beyond menopause. For menopausal women, it can contribute to increased hot flashes, impacting their daily lives and overall well-being.

Some women still experience hot flashes and symptoms of menopause for 20 or more years. This is more adipose tissue related because if we are looking
at how estrogen is aromatised or how estrogen is converted a lot of it happens in the fatty tissue. So we know that obese women tend to have more issues with hot flashes as they get further and further into post-menopause.

Let's foster a holistic approach to body positivity that includes both self-acceptance and a focus on our health.

Remember, body positivity isn't about dismissing the importance of health concerns but rather embracing self-love while being mindful of our well-being. Together, let's strive for a body-positive world that encourages us to celebrate our bodies while also prioritising our health.

"Breaking Free from the Cage of Limiting Beliefs 🕊️✨
🔓 In my 30s, I felt trapped within the confines of my own limiting beliefs. They whispered doubts in my ear, telling me what I couldn't achieve and who I couldn't become. But as I stepped into my 40s, I made a bold decision: I refused to let those beliefs define me any longer.
💪🏼 Embracing my newfound freedom, I shattered the chains that held me back. I discovered that age is not a barrier; it's an opportunity to soar higher than ever before. The truth is, we are often the architects of our own cages, built with self-doubt and fear. It's time to tear down those walls and unlock our true potential.
🌟 Now, I'm embracing the possibilities that lie ahead. I'm diving into new passions, pursuing dreams that once seemed unattainable. I'm proving to myself that I am capable of far more than I ever imagined. Life begins to flourish when we release the weight of limiting beliefs.
🦋 So here's to rewriting our stories, defying expectations, and unleashing the power within. Let's shatter the cage and spread our wings wide, because the sky is not the limit—it's just the beginning. 💫✨

Let's talk about adaptogens - those fascinating substances that can work wonders, but only if we approach them with caution.

Take a moment to consider Ashwagandha, the beloved herbal adaptogen renowned for its calming properties. It has gained immense popularity, with countless individuals incorporating it into their routines. Now, here's the crucial question: Have you taken the time to explore its contraindications? Is it truly suitable for you, or could it potentially cause more harm than good?

It's essential to be well-informed about what you're consuming, why you're consuming it, and, most importantly, whether it's genuinely beneficial for you. Don't just follow the crowd blindly—take charge of your well-being and make educated choices.

Remember, knowledge is power, and it's your responsibility to know what you're putting into your body. Stay informed, stay safe!
