On Friday 26 June, Sydney’s favourite amateur fight night returns to Paddo RSL for another evening of boxing, beers and bangers.

For close to 10 years, the Paddo Punch-On has built a reputation as one of Australia’s favourite grassroots boxing events. Casual, friendly, professionally run (mostly)… and always a cracking Friday night out.

Expect quality match-ups, big support crews, cold beers, fun vibes and breakout performances that’ll have the crowd going wild.

It’s Millennial versus Gen-Z, Southpaw against Orthodox, as Ali Kanjo takes on Max Douglas Robertson in a 70kg bout at the 𝙿𝚊𝚍𝚍𝚘 𝙿𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚑-𝙾𝚗 𝟷𝟿.
Kanjo, a 37 year old lefty is part of Marc Elrington’s squad at Mundine’s Gym in Redfern. He returns to action after having his last bout at Canterbury Hurlstone RSL in October.
Douglas-Robertson will trot out for the third time this Friday. The 20 year old has already reached the milestone of 10 bouts in 18 months of competition. He fights out of Forma Battaglia in Freshwater.

Adrian Joe Bouabaid and Jack Bramley will battle it out tomorrow night in a 70kg bout at the 𝙿𝚊𝚍𝚍𝚘 𝙿𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚑-𝙾𝚗 𝟷𝟿.
Bramley, 26, fights out of Crumlin BC under Phil Suttcliffe. He made a great start to his career last year winning 4 consecutive bouts and won the 70kg C-Class NSW Novice Title.
Bouabaid is a member of the Pad Flow Gym and trains under Horace Uelese. The 21 year old was due to make his debut at Paddo in 2024, only for his opponent to have eaten one too many Big Macs before the scales…
Two years later and a we finally get to see this talented mixed martial artist in action.

After stepping straight into the deep-end at King of The Ring earlier this month, Ruairi Killoran - Crumlin BC’s latest import - is back in action.
He’ll take on Alex Mille from Doyle BC in a 78kg catch weight bout.
Killoran hails from Omagh in Ireland and is a former Ulster Champion with 24 bouts on his ledger. In his first bout in Oz he took on a three-time Australian Champion in Kellyville and acquitted himself well in a losing effort. You can expect Coach Phil Sutcliffe to have his boxer firing on all cylinders after their first bout together.
Mille will be fighting at Paddo for the first time, which is surprising in itself as the 22 year old has been on nomination a number of times during his 18-bout career. He’ll step into the ring with a new corner team behind him headed up by Brian Doyle.

Killa Boxing’s Mohammed Ali Najjar will make his first appearance on Oxford Street this Friday when he takes on Patrick Kane from Boxing Works. The pair are pencilled in for an 86kg bout at the 𝙿𝚊𝚍𝚍𝚘 𝙿𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚑-𝙾𝚗 𝟷𝟿.
Najjar is trained by Khalil Saab in Marrickville and like his opponent, has won two from three bouts.
On Sunday he won via stoppage on his club show
Kane is trained by the Patmore brothers, Simon & Tim, in Kings Cross and hails from Ireland. He debuted at Contender 25 with an emphatic first round stoppage and followed up at the final Punch-On of 2025 with another win in an entertaining brawl.
Both of these lads like to get straight down to business and want to put a hurting on their opponents…
We don’t think this one will be going the distance if we’re being honest.

This Friday May 1st, we celebrate the Punch-On’s 10th Birthday 🥳

A room full of character, steeped in history….before SFL took over, not all punch-ons at Paddo RSL stayed in the ring.

So we leaned into it… and flipped it, turning it into Sydney’s most fun amateur fight night.
And just like that, Paddo Punch-On was born.

For the past decade, every punch-on has stayed exactly where it belongs, in the ring, under lights, expertly matched, properly done.

We’ve cheered, laughed, cried… and witnessed some incredible performances along the way. We’ve watched as boxers have made their debuts and worked their way to incredible achievements.

No chaos. Just good vibes, respect, and stacked card after stacked card.

Professionally run (mostly).
10 years deep. Still going strong.
