Born into a family where hunting and shooting were a way of life, Robert Borsak Jnr has spent decades immersed in fi****ms, the bush, and the traditions that come with them. His experience spans a broad range of hunting disciplines, with a particular focus on shotgunning and centrefire rifle shooting in practical hunting environments.

From pig hunting and mountain hunts through to his more recent passion for fallow deer, Robert places strong emphasis on preparation, firearm proficiency, ethical hunting, and respect for the outdoors. He also maintains a keen interest in the history and craftsmanship behind older fi****ms and military arms.

Mark van den Boogaart returns TOMORROW!— this time in the collector’s seat!

Mark van den Boogaart has been involved in hunting, shooting and collecting for several decades, with a strong passion for historical fi****ms, swords and militaria.

As a collector, Mark is particularly drawn to “working pieces” — items that have been carried and used in everyday life. His focus is on uncovering the history behind each piece, including who made it, who owned it, and the story of why it existed.

His current collection includes swords and C**t fi****ms, with a research-driven approach where he studies each item in detail before moving it on to explore new pieces. For Mark, collecting is about discovery, understanding history, and following the clues that connect objects to people and time.

Mark continues to contribute to the fi****ms and collecting community through writing and commentary, including work with Australian Shooter and Australian & New Zealand Handgunner, as well as broader engagement in hunting and shooting culture.

Lever Action State Titles 2026 Recap

Competitors from across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia travelled to Casino Range earlier this month for the 2026 SSAA NSW Lever Action State Titles, hosted by the Northern Rivers Branch.

Despite challenging weather and travel conditions, the event showcased strong sportsmanship, volunteer support and junior participation across the weekend.

Congratulations to all competitors and a special thank you to the volunteers, sponsors and supporters who helped make the event possible.
