Competing is not just about the wins.

I feel like I was born to compete, I love every aspect about it. I love what it represents and what it brings out in me.

I love how it challenges me to push myself to do my best.
It forces me to trust in myself and my ability even if I feel doubt.
It allows me to feel extreme pressure of highs and lows all in one moment.
It brings me closer to others who share the same drive.
It forces me to implement skills I have been working on under pressure.

But most of all I feel that competition allows me to feel deeply connected with myself, even for just a moment. Not be a mother, not be a business woman, not be a partner, just be me and do what I love.

Here are some moments from State titles last week. It was really tough conditions and I dont feel i surfed my best but I went there to get to Aussies titles and I was able to do that so im happy.

Sharing this event with my daughter and having her there right by my side what truly a special moment for me and im so grateful I can share my passion for the ocean with her.

The last 2 coaching days have been a massive hit with all the ladies that have come along learning a bunch of new skills to implement either in the pool or our in the ocean.

Sometimes, it's hard to explain and teach clients about the deep relationship you have with the waves and the ocean.

Sometimes, it's hard to find ways to show and teach connection when it's not from birth.

Sometimes, it's hard to explain to clients that the ocean is in your blood, and it's a part of who you are.

Teaching my girls from birth to always be connected to the ocean, to listen and follow its patterns. To feel its energy and to connect to allow yourself to process life's emotions.

Teaching my girls that surfing isn't just about your ability to ride waves but about connecting to something that is so much more powerful, ra, and unpredictable than you.

I was raised as a salt water baby, my ancestors were raised as salt water babies, and now my girls are salt water babies.

It's the ocean that will always connect us to each other and will always make us feel home.

URBNSURF March 2026 is DONE!!!!!!!

After serious concerns with bad weather, we actually got through the day with even a bit of sunshine!

Oh my gosh, these 12 ladies (sorry, I missed some photos). I really did step it up thats for sure, and I think their stoke in themselves is still felt the next day.

I know i say this all the time, but... the pool really is the best training tool for me to clearly explain how you can progress quickly and with a deep understanding of what to do to create that change.

We had an amazing group that all were different levels, but all had goals they wanted to achieve and problems that they wanted to solve. They had questions about issues and were able to implement new skills right there in the pool right away.

As a coach I give so much advice on skills and techniques that will help you progress and reach your goals but when I see you work so so hard to dig deep, believe in your ability and try something new, I am just blown away.

I as so proud of the focus and open heartedness you all had to this event and for some of you who have never been coached by me before, you trusted in me and allowed me to help you step up in your surfing.

Thank you to each of you for an incredible day, and dont worry, ladies.... THERE WILL BE ANOTHER SOON 😉

Going on surf adventures with these ladies for the day was sooo much fun!!!!

Teaching them how to find waves along our coastline and learning to compare the forecast with what actually is happening.

So much fun driving through bushland, along dirt tracks and finding little bits of paradise with perfect waves just for us.

Thank you so much for being open to spending the day exploring, and im so stoked we found amazing waves, sunshine and we got to share the stoke.
