06.06.2025 ~ From day 1 I knew how challenging it would be to start a martial art that I never imagined to be part of my life in so many aspects. Many days that it felt so out of my context, the doubt of the new, the fear of failure like we all feel when you are not in your comfort zone. Now looking back, every single day I decided to grab my gi after a long day of work coaching my own clients in fitness to show up at night time to wrestle a bunch of guys and only few girls throughout my journey made it all sense.
The commitment and respect for jiujitsu were the two things that kept me going. I never ever give up on something that means to me specially when it makes me feel challenged, I say I don’t but I love it. The harder the better, the more I wanted.
So many names I would love to refer here, as you never achieve something on your own. So THANK YOU, to every single human being that crossed my pathway, that pushed me, helped me, incentivised me, made me happy, made me angry at myself, even made me cry for a good reason. To be better every day.
Obrigada to Professor Mauricio for every single day and phase of life on the mats, insisting in never let me go and make me believe that I could achieve something so special and important in life. To Fabio who is probably the most important part of my achievement and not forgetting that jiujitsu got us together in life too. I love you so much.
To Diguinho who I have massive respect for our friendship and is the one I wanted to make it proud also. To Cameron who is pure passion for jiujitsu and I would not have improved without his support.
