What a day! Grand Final Day always brings a buzz like no other, and our Echoes family certainly brought the energy.

We were incredibly proud to have 𝟭𝟬 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 competing in the big game today. There were tight contests, huge efforts, and some brilliant teamwork on display from our juniors right through to our seniors.

Finals basketball can be tough, physical and emotional, but our players and coaches showed incredible resilience today. They kept their cool, stayed composed under pressure, and continued to play hard, fair and united. The way they represented Echoes — with strength, sportsmanship and heart — is something we are truly proud of.

💙 A Huge Thank You to Our Referees & Volunteers Today — and every week — simply wouldn’t happen without the people who give their time so our players can take the court.

🖤🤍💚𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀, many of whom are juniors, showed professionalism, resilience and calm under pressure. Finals basketball is tough, and they handled it brilliantly.

🌟𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 and the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep competitions running smoothly.

Today we celebrate the hard work, resilience, and teamwork shown by our Echoes players throughout the Winter 2026 season. Reaching a Grand Final is an achievement in itself, and we’re incredibly proud of every athlete stepping onto the court.

✅ Let the coaches do the coaching! Cheer loud and proud, but leave the coaching to the experts on the bench.
✅ Show respect to referees and officials at all times. Many are juniors, and it’s up to us to ensure a safe, positive environment. Only the Head Coach should approach referees, and only at the right moments.
✅ Please stay in the designated spectator areas—team benches and score tables are for registered coaches, players, team managers and scoring officials only!
✅ Most importantly, enjoy every moment.

Win or lose, we’re proud of every single team. Make sure to soak up the atmosphere!

🏀 PRELIM FINALS NIGHT 3 RESULTS

Our last night of prelim finals started with a great game by the U12BD1. Echoes Light started strong straight from the tap, with a dominant 1st quarter that set them up for the game. They held off a late charge home from Panthers and took the win! Congratulations boys and good luck on Sunday! 🥳🌟

The U14G game was a tight and physical contest as expected. The Echoes Dark girls battled hard but couldn't quite hit the front, going down by only 5 points! Well done on a great season girls, we can't wait to see you all back in summer. 💙🏀

Last game for the night was another tight battle in the U14BD1 match. Echoes was down to 6 players through injury but still took the game on. The boys also couldn't quite hit the front and unfortunately foul trouble in the last quarter saw a 2 point deficit stretch out a bit too far from reach.

The boys should be very proud making it from 4th place to the prelim, so much improvement across the season! 💙🏀

Tomorrow night sees our U10 boys play their final games of the season and then we look forward to the big one on Sunday! You don't want to miss any of the action!! 🏀🌟💙

🏀 PRELIMINARY FINALS NIGHT 2 RESULTS

Tonight our U10 girls played their final game of the season, showing off all the skills they have learnt along the way. We can't wait to see you all back in summer! ⛹️‍♀️

Then the U12BD3 Echoes Light team took to the court in the first prelim of the night. The boys played a very solid game and secured a convincing win against a very valiant TBC. Congratulations boys, you are off to the Grand Final against the Echoes Dark team! 🎉🌟

The U16BD1 Echoes Dark team were taken by surprise as the Magic lads came out to play! Magic led the whole game, playing a great brand of basketball. Echoes Dark kept at it and took the lead late in the final quarter to win by only 2 points!! Well done lads, you also meet your fellow club mates in the GF on Sunday! 🥳

Last game of the night saw the U18B take on the top of the table Tigers team. It was always going to be a tough ask, having not beaten them all season, but the lads should be very proud of their efforts!

Special mention to Harry Menzel, Iggy Bosnich and Ace Hutchinson as they age out of juniors. It's been a pleasure to watch you play! 🏀

We now look forward to Thursday's match-ups.

A huge week of finals action continues as our junior teams hit the court tonight for their prelims. Every player has shown growth, resilience, and teamwork throughout Winter 2026, and we’re incredibly proud of how they represent Echoes each week.

It is also the last week for our smallest ballers, the U10s. They have all developed so much over the season, so come on out and cheer them on for their last games. 🥳 U10 girls are up tonight at 5pm!

Let’s fill the stadium with positive energy, cheer loudly, and support our players, coaches, referees, and families. Finals basketball is special — enjoy every moment. 💙💙

🏀 PRELIMINARY FINALS NIGHT 1 RESULTS

Seniors kicked off prelim final week and our A grade teams battled it out for their GF place.

Congratulations to the A Women who after a slow start, kicked into gear and took the win! Well done girls, good luck on Sunday! 🎉🏆

The A Men's game was up and down all match and could have gone either way. A strong last quarter from Panthers saw them steal the win. We look forward to seeing the lads back out there in summer.

Now on to the juniors tomorrow!
