⚫️🔴 ROUND 6 RESULTS 🔴⚫️

A great day for the Bears, with both sides showing plenty of heart and determination.

The women fought back from an 8–6 halftime deficit to claim a gutsy 14–12 win over Wangaratta. Strong defence and composed attack proved the difference in a well-earned victory.

The men were locked in a physical battle all game, finishing with a 28–28 draw. Their resilience and commitment continue to show why they sit equal first on the ladder.

This weekend we celebrate the milestone of 50 matches across the GMSP with Sarah Wilkinson!

Sarah’s journey has spanned across 4 clubs to reach this milestone:

Wodonga Wombats: 3 games (2022)
Wodonga storm: 6 games (2022)
Wolfpack: 35 games (2023 - 2025)
Border Bears: 6 games (Current)

It’s incredible that the bears have the privilege to celebrate this milestone within our club! Congratulations and here’s to more! 🐻

⚫️🔴 50th* GAMES MILESTONE 🔴⚫️

This weekend the bears have the honour of celebrating 50* games across the GMSP with blade Parker!

Blade’s playing career spans across 3 clubs to reach this milestone:

Wodonga Wombats: 16 games (2018 - 2019)
Corowa Cougars: 32 games (2021 - 2025)
Border bears: 5 games (Current)

Although this will officially mark blades 53rd it’s a milestone nonetheless that should be commended and to have the opportunity to celebrate this at the bears is quite special, Congratulations and Here’s to more to come!🐻
