🎤🐯 WELCOME OUR 2026 Best & Fairest MC!

We’re pretty bloody excited to have the fabulous Zoe Kelly joining us as our MC for the Yankalilla Football Clubs Senior Best & Fairest this Friday night the 25th of September at Forktree Brewing!

You might know Zoe as the “Voice of the Suburbs” on Triple M Adelaide 104.7 breakfast show with Roo, Ditts & Loz, or from her work alongside South Aussie with Cosi.

She’s also no stranger to our neck of the woods, with Zoe owning House at Normanville and Golden at Normanville and helping plenty of visitors discover what our little part of the world has to offer.

When she’s not behind a microphone, working with Cosi or telling everyone how good Yank and Normy are, you’ll find her alongside (and most likely rolling her eyes at) husband Trent Kelly, who managed to pull on the boots for the Tigers for two games this season, with the second coming to an early end in the first quarter thanks to injury! 🤕

We reckon she’ll do a ripper job! 🖤💛🐯

🖤💛 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔 𝗗𝗔𝗬 — 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬! 💛🖤
On Saturday, Yankalilla Football Club had the privilege of hosting the 𝗚𝗦𝗙𝗟 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 at Memorial Park.
While the day unfortunately clashed with the Netball Grand Final, our community still stepped up in a BIG way to help us deliver a fantastic day of local football. 🏉
Hosting a final is a huge undertaking, and there is so much work that happens long before the first bounce — from the ideas and planning, logistics and coordination, through to setting up, working throughout the day and then cleaning it all up again afterwards!
To 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 — 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨. 🙌
Thank you to our committee, club members, volunteers and the many people from our wider community who gave up their time, filled a shift, moved equipment, cooked, served, cleaned, coordinated, problem-solved or simply asked, “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱?”
Days like Saturday simply don't happen without people willing to pitch in.
We know many of our usual volunteers were supporting our friends at the Yankalilla Netball Club on their Grand Final day, which makes us even more appreciative of everyone who stepped forward to help us cover the gaps.
It was a 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, and we couldn't have done it without you.

A huge congratulations to our friends at the Yankalilla Netball Club on an incredible end to the season, with three teams earning their place in yesterday’s Grand Finals! 👏

Making a Grand Final is a fantastic achievement and a credit to the players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters who have put in so much throughout the year.
And a very special congratulations to the 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, who got the job done and were crowned 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞-𝗧𝗢-𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗘𝗥𝗦! 🏆🏆 What an outstanding achievement!

We’re incredibly proud to share our club and community with such a talented and committed group.

🏉 CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS – GSFL PRELIMINARY FINAL

The Yankalilla Football Club will host the Great Southern Football League Preliminary Final at Memorial Park, Yankalilla, on Saturday 12th September 2026.

🏕️ TEAM FAN SPACES

Dedicated areas have been allocated around the oval for supporters of each competing club to set up their team fan spaces throughout the day.

🟢 Myponga Sellicks Football Club

🟠 McLaren Districts Football Club

🟡 Langhorne Creek Football Club

🟤 Mount Compass Football Club Inc.

🚗 CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS

To ensure the safety of everyone attending, traffic restrictions will be in place on Yankalilla's main street throughout the event.

These changes include:

• Parking restrictions along the main street.
• A slip lane will be available to assist traffic flow.
• No right turn onto South Road when leaving Memorial Park.

Restrictions will be in place from 8:30 am to approximately 5:30 pm, with parking limited from early morning.

Changed Traffic Conditions - Great Southern Football League Preliminary Final

The Yankalilla Football Club will host the Great Southern Football League Preliminary Final at Memorial Park, Yankalilla, on Saturday 12 September 2026.

While unfortunately no Yankalilla Football Club teams made the finals this year, our district will be proudly represented on the day by Myponga Sellicks Football Club in the Reserves, Senior Colts and Junior Colts.

💛🖤 MAIL MEDAL COUNT 🖤💛

A great night for the Tigers with some fantastic results for our young players! 🐯

Otto Hunt finished 6th in the Junior Colts Mail Medal, capping off a terrific season.

Timothy Wommatakimmi and Lachlan Bilney also polled strongly in the Senior Colts count.

A fantastic effort from all three boys. Congratulations! 💛🖤

🟡⚫️YANKALILLA FOOTBALL CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT⚫️🟡

Senior Men’s Coach – Shane Sinclair

Yankalilla Football Club wishes to advise that Shane Sinclair has stepped down from his position as Senior Men’s Coach.

Shane has made this decision after careful consideration, but importantly, he will remain an active part of the Yankalilla Football Club.

During his time as Senior Men’s Coach, Shane has made a significant contribution to the development of the playing group and has helped improve the overall performance, competitiveness and standards of the Senior Men’s squad.

The Club would like to sincerely thank Shane for the time, energy and commitment he has invested in the role, as well as the leadership and support he has provided to our players.

Coaching a senior football side is a significant commitment, and the Club recognises the effort Shane has put into building a stronger and more competitive squad.

The Club will now begin the process of determining the next steps for the Senior Men’s program and will provide further information in due course.
