European Deaf Sport Organisation - EDSO

The second day focused on the EDSO Technical Regulations, Handbooks, and future developments. Sports Directors shared ideas, experiences, and valuable suggestions for further improvements of our regulations and working documents.

The workshop concluded with productive discussions, new perspectives, and many useful materials and lessons to take home.

Thank you to all participants for their active contribution and commitment. It was an educational and inspiring workshop for all EDSO Sports Directors, helping to strengthen the future of Deaf sport in Europe.

Today, sports directors from across Europe came together for the first day of the EDSO Sports Directors Workshop.

The programme included important discussions on current and future sports developments, exchange of experiences, best practices, and cooperation within the European Deaf sports community.

Results of today’s draw for the EDYG 2026 Men’s Futsal and Men’s Basketball 3x3 tournaments

The European Deaf Youth Games 2026 Organising Committee is pleased to announce that the Official Draw for the men's team sports competitions will take place on:

The draw will determine the group composition for the following competitions:


Men Futsal

A total of 11 teams have entered and will be drawn into three groups of five teams each.

Participating teams:

GER, BEL, CZE, DEN, HUN, IRE , ITA, IRE, NED, SWE, TUR, UKR


Men Basketball 3x3

A total of 9 teams have entered and will be drawn into two groups consisting of five and four teams respectively.

Participating teams:

GER 1, GER 2, GRE 1, LTU 1, LTU 2, POL 1, POL 2, TUR 1, UKR 1


To ensure fair competition, teams from the same nation will be placed in separate groups whenever applicable. Therefore, GER 1 and GER 2, LTU 1 and LTU 2, as well as POL 1 and POL 2, will automatically be allocated to different groups.

We warmly invite all participating nations, athletes, officials and supporters to follow the live draw and discover the road to the inaugural European Deaf Youth Games 2026.

We wish all teams the best of luck for the draw and look forward to welcoming Europe’s best young deaf athletes to EDYG 2026.
