NL: De European Deaf Youth Games (Hannover - Germany) van 15 tot 22 augustus naderen sterk.
Belgian Deaf sport Committee zal aanwezig zijn met 1 Futsal team U19 Men, 1 atleet Senne Laenens (100,200 en verspringen), 1 tennisspeler U19 Emiel Schippers en 1 tafeltennisspeler U19 Tjenne De Meester.
Onderaan vind u de loting van de Futsal waar België in groep B uitkomt.

FR: Les European Deaf Youth Games (Hanovre, Allemagne), qui se dérouleront du 15 au 22 août, approchent à grands pas.
Le Belgian Deaf sport Committee sera présent avec une équipe masculine de futsal U19, un athlète, Senne Laenens (100 m, 200 m et saut en longueur), un joueur de tennis U19, Emiel Schippers, et une joueuse de tennis de table U19, Tjenne De Meester.

BDC Youth Futsal heeft met belangstelling kennisgenomen van de loting voor het futsaltoernooi van de eerste European Deaf Youth Games (EDYG) 2026, die plaatsvinden in Hannover, Duitsland van 15 tot 22 augustus 2026.

Na de loting kunnen we stellen dat onze ploeg met Hongarije, Zweden en Denemarken in een interessante en op papier gunstige groep is terechtgekomen.

De staf en spelersgroep blijven daarom gefocust op hun eigen voorbereiding. Het team zal wedstrijd per wedstrijd benaderen en zich volledig concentreren op het behalen van de vooropgestelde doelstellingen. Het eerste doel is het bereiken van de volgende ronde, waarna alles mogelijk wordt.

De voorbije maanden heeft de selectie hard gewerkt tijdens trainingen, wedstrijden en tornooi om optimaal voorbereid aan de start te verschijnen. De spelers kijken dan ook uit naar deze historische eerste editie van de European Deaf Youth Games.

"We zijn tevreden met de uitkomst van de loting, maar uiteindelijk zullen onze prestaties op het veld beslissend zijn. Als we als ploeg ons niveau halen en gespaard blijven van blessures en pech, geloven we dat we ver kunnen geraken in dit tornooi," aldus de staf van BDC Youth Futsal.

BDC Youth Futsal a suivi avec intérêt le tirage au sort du tournoi de futsal des premiers Jeux Européens de la Jeunesse Sourds (EDYG) 2026, qui se dérouleront à Hanovre, en Allemagne, du 15 au 22 août 2026.

Suite à ce tirage, nous constatons que notre équipe a été placée dans un groupe intéressant et, sur le papier, favorable, avec la Hongrie, la Suède et le Danemark.

L'encadrement et les joueurs restent donc concentrés sur leur préparation. L'équipe abordera chaque match l'un après l'autre et se concentrera pleinement sur l'atteinte des objectifs fixés. Le premier objectif est d'atteindre le tour suivant, après quoi tout est possible.

Ces derniers mois, l'équipe a travaillé dur lors des entraînements, matches et des tournoi afin d'être au meilleur de sa forme pour le début de la compétition. Les joueurs attendent donc avec impatience cette première édition historique des Jeux Européens de la Jeunesse Sourds.

« Nous sommes satisfaits du résultat du tirage au sort, mais au final, ce sera notre performance sur le terrain qui sera déterminante. Si nous jouons à notre niveau en équipe et que nous sommes épargnés par les blessures et la malchance, nous pensons pouvoir aller loin dans ce tournoi », a déclaré le staff de la BDC Youth Futsal.

La BDC Youth Futsal souhaite bonne chance à tous les pays participants et se réjouit de participer à un tournoi sportif, équitable et convivial à Hanovre.

NL: 04.06.2026: Jaarlijkse Algemene Vergadering Belgisch Olympisch Internationaal Comité (BOIC).
In het sportcomplex van Royal Belgian Football Association Tubeke vond de jaarlijkse Algemene vergadering plaats.
BDC was vertegenwoordigd door voorzitter Jan Van den Braembussche, sportdirecteur Lieven Kind en bestuurder Francesco Camillo.
Tijdens het openingswoord van voorzitter Jean-Michel Saive “There’s only one Team Belgium. Dat is waar het om draait.” (https://belgianolympicandinterfederalcommittee.cmail19.com/t/t-l-whdutll-jrltkyjljy-t/) heeft hij ook onze atleten die deelnamen aan de Deaflympics in Tokio gefeliciteerd.
Er verscheen zelfs een foto van het EK Padel in Diegem op plaatsen waar hij geweest is (jammer waren we te laat om die foto te maken).
Bijzonderste punt van vandaag was de stemming dat BOIC en BPC (Belgian Paralympic Committee) fuseren vanaf 2027 en de naam aangepast wordt naar BOPC (Belgisch Olympisch - Paralympisch Comité). We duimen dat BDC met de Deaflympics in de toekomst hierin ook betrokken zal worden.
Ook werd de Belgische Padel Vereniging (BPV) aanvaard als nieuwe federatie onder BOPC.

FR: 04/06/2026 : Assemblée générale annuelle du Comité olympique et international belge (COIB).
L'assemblée générale annuelle s'est tenue au complexe sportif de la Royal Belgian Football Association à Tubize.
Le BDC était représenté par son président Jan Van den Braembussche, son directeur sportif Lieven Kind et son membre Francesco Camillo.
Lors de son discours d’ouverture, le président Jean-Michel Saive a déclaré : « There’s only one Team Belgium. C’est ça qui compte. » (https://belgianolympicandinterfederalcommittee.cmail19.com/t/t-l-whdutll-jrltkyjljy-t/), il a également félicité nos athlètes qui ont participé aux Deaflympics à Tokyo.
Une photo des Championnats d’Europe de padel à Diegem est même apparue sur les lieux où il s’est rendu (dommage que nous soyons arrivés trop t**d pour prendre cette photo).
Le point le plus marquant de la journée a été le vote annonçant la fusion du BOIC et du BPC (Comité paralympique belge) à partir de 2027 et le changement de nom en BOPC (Comité olympique et paralympique belge). Nous croisons les doigts pour que le BDC, avec les Deaflympics, soit également impliqué dans cette initiative à l'avenir.
La Fédération Association Belge de Padel (ABP) a également été acceptée en tant que nouvelle fédération sous l'égide de la BOPC.

The opening ceremony on Monday evening went very smoothly in a warm atmosphere. The first match day, Tuesday, May 12, was a success for the Belgians!!
Both the men against Great Britain and the women against Sweden won convincingly with 3-0 scores!
Today, only the women will take on top favorite Italy starting at 14:30.
