Nomads on Wheels stands for 2 friends travelling the world on wheels. In March 2018 we start our Pan American Highway journey from Canada to Argentina.
After just concluding a 2000km motorcycle journey through the Himalayas in India we are busy with the preperations for a 30,000km Expedition on the Pan American Highway. Nomads on Wheels is the page that we will feed with our adventures and interesting information during our journey over the Pan American Highways starting March 2018.
A very brief recap of the UK, probably more upcoming when I find time. We spend about 1 month in the UK, did countless hikes, mountainbike trails, climbed the 3 highest peaks (Snowdon, Scafell and Ben Nevis) and visited a lot of highlights like the Isle of Skye, the Isle of Islay, Cambridge etc. I will make another recap on the spending over this first month as well.

We end the UK with a British banger! Windsor visit, the Windsor Castle and a nice long stroll on the iconic Long Walk; tracing the steps of Queen Elizabeth on her walk.
Very much recommended, this is the castle of all castles. After the relatively young renovations (still pending for some parts) the structures and interiors are in stunning state. See ya UK, you have been great 🫶🏽✌🏽 🇬🇧.

On our way south we had to pick wither Oxford or Cambridge, we did not have time for both. We picked Cambridge due to its more compact, quaint setting. We strolled around the colleges a bit, had a nice lunch, went punting and closed the day off with al late afternoon tea. We used bikes to move ourselves around, share bikes since again we were made aware of the bike theft problems in the UK 😤.

Next stop, citytour in Edinburgh. We visited the St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh Castle and some other highlights. Since this was also the last day in Scotland we did a final typical pie lunch and hoped for better weather in coming days!

Our first day on Skye, what a stunning Island and what temperamentalfull weather haha! We did some hikes and drove around to explore some of the highlights. The Isle of Skye if very very touristy and most of the hikes are destroyed due to visiting crowds and wet weather conditions. Still, a little bit of Patagonia vibes!

A little stop we had to make! Icon views, but the sound of the steam-engine building boost to make it up the bridge was very cool!

The way there lol.. short hike, like only 1,5km but very busy with tourist-tourists. Most of them on sneakers over a slippery muddy trail 👌🏽
