Yesterday we were honoured with a visit by NAIL61, a Vietnam veteran FAC.
We gladly took Jack up for a flight over Flanders Fields, the true birthplace of FAC-ing. During the Great War the early rudimentary and unarmed aircraft were indeed used purely for observation and spotting of enemy positions.
The occasion was even more memorable as it was Jack Goodman’s 200th OV-10 Bronco sortie. This time not in anger, but in remembrance of the fallen of the Great War and all FACs since. We salute you, Sir, and thank you for your service.
