🇧🇷 Flavien Bascoul vive há mais de 20 anos em Paris, mas cresceu na costa mediterrânea do sul da França. Desde que começou a correr, em 2010, transformou o desafio de completar a Maratona de Paris em uma paixão pela ultradistância e pela aventura. Ao descobrir a Extremo Sul, encontrou uma prova que representa exatamente o que busca no esporte: desafios extraordinários, uma linha interminável pela imensidão do litoral brasileiro e a oportunidade de viver experiências únicas e conexões humanas marcantes.

🇬🇧 Flavien Bascoul has lived in Paris for over 20 years, but grew up on the Mediterranean coast in southern France. Since taking up running in 2010, what began as a challenge to complete the Paris Marathon has evolved into a passion for ultra-distance racing and adventure. After discovering Extremo Sul, he found an event that perfectly reflects what he seeks in the sport: extraordinary challenges, an endless straight line across the vast Brazilian coastline, and the chance to experience unique adventures and meaningful human connections.

🇧🇷Correr a Extremo Sul é enfrentar um desafio físico e mental em meio a uma paisagem que nos lembra a própria pequenez. Por alguns dias, ficam para trás a toga, os processos e as paredes. Restam o vento, o mar e o caminho.

Pés no chão, pés na areia. Diante da imensidão, somos pequenos … e assim que descobrimos a nossa força.

🇬🇧Running in the Extremo Sul is facing a physical and mental challenge amidst a landscape that reminds us of our own insignificance. For a few days, the judge's robe, the legal processes, and the walls are left behind. Only the wind, the sea, and the path remain.

Feet on the ground, feet in the sand. Faced with immensity, we are small… and that's how we discover our strength.

🇧🇷Canso meu corpo para descansar minha cabeça. Será a segunda vez na ESUM, desafiando o corpo e participando desse auto-encontro comigo. Como diz meu amigo e treinador Tiago Ribasqui, " não esquece que o mar estará sempre na tua mão direita".

🇬🇧I tire my body to rest my mind. This will be my second time at ESUM, challenging my body and participating in this self-discovery. As my friend and coach Tiago Ribasqui says, "don't forget that the sea will always be in your right hand."

🇧🇷Esta será minha 6ª participação na Extremo Sul

Na minha estreia, tive um DNF. Meu melhor resultado até agora foi um 5º lugar. Já estive em outras ultras, provas de 12h e 24h, mas nenhuma é como essa. A Extremo desafia o corpo, a mente e a alma a todo instante. É exatamente esse desafio que me faz voltar e me identificar tanto com a Extremo.

🇬🇧This will be my 6th participation in the Extremo Sul

In my debut, I had a DNF. My best result was 5th place. I've been to other ultras, 12-hour and 24-hour races, but none are like this one. Extremo challenges the body, mind, and soul at every moment. It is precisely this challenge that makes me come back and identify so much with it.

DE LA FRANCE!

🇧🇷Estou voltando para a Extremo Sul pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, e é uma alegria imensa. Esta corrida é especial; é um desafio diante da imensidão da natureza, uma viagem no tempo. Também estou muito entusiasmado em reencontrar a recepção calorosa dos brasileiros.

🇬🇧I'm returning to the Extremo Sul Ultramarathon for the third consecutive year, and it's a great joy. This race is special; it's a challenge in the face of the vastness of nature, a journey through time. I'm also very excited to experience the warm welcome of the Brazilians again.
