Yesterday was a special moment for Lions Den Athletics Club as we welcomed Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) leadership to Diphetogo CJSS where some of our athletes train. 🦁🔥

The BAA CEO, Sports Development Manager and Sports Development Officer spent time with our club leadership and athletes, observing training, engaging with our young talent, and gaining firsthand insight into how the club is growing on the ground.

We are truly grateful for this courtesy visit. Your continued support strengthens our mission to develop disciplined, competitive and confident athletes right here in the community.

Thank you for believing in the work we do and for investing in the future of Botswana’s athletics.

We join the world to commemorate the 16th days of activism against gender based violence. Every year between 25 November - 10 December the activism focus on advocating for collective action to dismantle the structural, cultural and institutional carriers that perpetuate violence and exclusion.

●Busang Collen Kebinatshipi –Double World World Champion, first male athlete to earn the global championship tittle in the 400m from Botswana (43.53s NR) and anchored the 4x400m relay to Gold at the World Athletics Championships Tokyo25

●Team Botswana Men’s4x400m Relay
(Listed 4th Best of the 2025 season by CAA (Lee Bhekempilo Eppie, Letsile Tebogo, Bayapo Ndori & Busang Kebinatshipi) – World Champions in the 4x400m relay, defeating the USA with a spectacular 2:57.76 finish under the Tokyo rain...ending it's nine year editions rule

●Chilume “Chippa” Ntshwarang has been crowned Best Coach of the Year guiding Team Botswana to its best-ever World Championships performance, 2 Golds + 1 Bronze, which earned us 5th ranking in the world.

●Botswana Athletics Association has been announced as the Best African Federation of the Year 2025

The Tokyo25 Championships team performance propelling Botswana to 5th in the world rankings and earning the right to host the World Athletics Relays 2026 has led to the triumph.
