BNOC AND BNSC IMPLEMENT TAFISA PROJECT IN MAHALAPYE
Today, Bokamoso Ja Africa Group proudly delivered its community outreach project in Mahalapye in partnership with Mahalapye Primary School and the local community with support from TAFISA .
Through sport, we continue to champion inclusion, equality, and empowerment for children with disabilities, creating opportunities for them to develop their talents, build confidence, and thrive alongside their peers.
We were honoured to have the Chairman of the Mahalapye District Council, Hon. Outlule Segolame, officiate the event. He applauded the initiative and inspired the children to dream big, reminding them that they have the same potential and opportunities to succeed as any other child.
A heartfelt thank you to the community, educators, parents, and learners who joined us in making this outreach programme a success. Together, we are building a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

The Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) invites children, parents, caregivers, volunteers, and community members to join us for a special **Kids Walk** celebrating inclusion, health, and active living.

BoBA’s Mr. Etsogile Ngwako Selected to Officiate at 2026 World Boxing Cup
The Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) is proud to announce that Referee and Judge, Mr. Etsogile Ngwako, has been selected to officiate at the 2026 World Boxing Cup to be held in Guizhou, China, from 15–22 June 2026.
Mr. Ngwako is a certified World Boxing International Referee and Judge, qualified to officiate at all World Boxing-sanctioned events, including the Olympic Games.
His appointment is another milestone for Botswana boxing and reflects the growing recognition of the country's technical officials on the international stage.
Congratulating Mr. Ngwako on his achievement, BoBA Secretary General Mr. Tshiamo Moalosi said:
“Mr. Ngwako’s appointment is a proud moment for Botswana boxing and a testament to his hard work, professionalism, and dedication to the sport. It also reflects the growing standard of officiating in Botswana. Exposure at World Boxing events enables our officials to return home with valuable experience, enhanced technical knowledge, and international best practices that contribute to the development of boxing in Botswana. We congratulate him and wish him every success in China.”
BoBA extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Ngwako and wishes him well as he represents Botswana on the global stage.

BNOC hosted the World Environment Day celebration in partnership with Motswedi CJSS in Gaborone under the theme **"A Global Call for Climate Action"** and the slogan **"Now for Climate."**
The event featured an overview of the significance of World Environment Day by BNOC Board Member and Chairperson of the Sustainability Committee, **Ms Kebalebile Ramontsho**.
Also in attendance were BNOC First Vice President **Ms Tebo Segaise** and former BNOC President, **Commonwealth Sport Vice President for Africa**, and Chairperson of the **ANOCA Sustainability Commission, Col. Botsang Tshenyego **, who joined learners, educators, and stakeholders in promoting environmental awareness and collective action for a sustainable future.
Together, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting the environment and inspiring communities to act now for climate.

BOTSWANA SWIMMING SPORT ASSOCIATION WILL HOST THE 2026 AFRICA AQUATICS ZONE IV SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Botswana Swimming Sport Association is proud to host the 2026 Africa Aquatics Zone IV Swimming Championships in Gaborone at the University of Botswana Swimming Pool from 2–5 September 2026.
This prestigious championship will bring together athletes and officials from up to 14 countries across the region, showcasing the highest level of competitive swimming and fostering regional sporting excellence.
Beyond the pool, the event is expected to generate significant economic activity, creating opportunities for small businesses while boosting the hospitality and tourism sectors through increased visitor arrivals and local spending.
Botswana looks forward to welcoming the African swimming community to Gaborone for an exciting celebration of sport, unity, and excellence.
