Our North Nova Highlanders had a great time visiting with some of the seniors at The Maples. It is important to make time for people in our community and giving back, especially during th holiday season, is important and feels good

In 2022 Jaida Lee, of St. John's, NL became the first woman to compete in Men's Baseball at the Canada Games. The baseball she threw for the first pitch in that game is currently on display at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum. Jaida made history again last night when she was the fourth Canadian drafted in the inaugural Women's Pro Baseball League draft. Congrats, Jaida, and best of luck in New York!

It’s happening
The Women's Professional Baseball League has chosen New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco as the first four cities to compete in its inaugural season 🤩
When it debuts in 2026, it will be the first pro league for women since the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League dissolved in 1954 😲
