Before there was Snow Valley, there was a group of young skiers with a shared love of the sport. 🎿

In the late 1940s, that passion brought together the Triple S Ski Club, built around a simple motto:
“Skiing with Safety and Sociability.”

Not long after, a tip about some promising hills near Barrie led to an idea that would eventually become Snow Valley.

This is just the beginning of the story.

Over the months ahead, we’ll be sharing more of the people, memories and moments that helped shape 75 winters at Snow Valley.

Hiring season is back! ❄️

We’re getting ready for Snow Valley’s 75th winter, and we’ll soon be hiring for a wide range of seasonal part-time and full-time positions across the resort.

Whether you’re looking to spend your winter on the slopes, helping guests, working behind the scenes or trying something completely new, there could be a spot for you on the Snow Valley team.

Save the weekend! 🎿🏂

The Barrie Ski & Board Equipment Swap returns to Snow Valley November 6–8, and this year it’s part of an extra-special weekend as we kick off Snow Valley’s 75th Anniversary season.

Here’s what’s happening:

Friday, November 6 | 12 PM–8 PM
Shop early for the best selection of new and gently used skis, snowboards, boots and accessories.

Saturday, November 7 | 9 AM–5 PM
Shop the Swap and join us for Snow Valley’s 75th Anniversary Open House, featuring free family activities, sweet treats, live music and plenty of anniversary fun.

Sunday, November 8 | 9 AM–12 PM
No appointment required. Stop by and shop the remaining Swap selection.

Advance booking will be required to shop the Equipment Swap on Friday and Saturday. Booking opens soon.

Just coming for Saturday’s Open House? No ticket or reservation is required.

Have gear to sell? Equipment drop-off takes place November 4 & 5 from 3 PM–8 PM.

☀️ This was the last full day of summer… and Bode already looks pretty excited about what comes next. 🍂🐾

Tomorrow, fall officially arrives. The leaves start changing, the air gets a little cooler, and around Snow Valley, our thoughts start turning toward winter. ❄️

We’ve got a pretty special one coming, too. 75 winters of Snow Valley, with another season of first turns, family days and snowy adventures just around the corner.

Registration for Snow Valley’s 2026/27 Ski & Snowboard Programs opens online tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00 AM.

Whether your child is just getting started or ready to build on what they learned last winter, our programs are designed to help them grow their skills, build confidence and discover just how much fun winter can be.

Every kid’s winter story starts somewhere.

Maybe it’s their first lesson.

Maybe it’s the day they finally make it down the run without help.

Maybe it’s finding the confidence to try something that felt impossible a few weeks earlier.

That’s what makes learning to ski or snowboard about so much more than turns and technique.

Snow Valley offers programs for different ages, abilities and goals, helping kids learn at their own pace, build confidence and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

Some firsts happen quickly. Others take a little longer. They’re all worth celebrating.
