PART BOARDS AVAILABLE AT KURUKA EQUESTRIAN THIS FALL

Looking to ride more, build a partnership, or step into the show ring for 2027? We have several horses available for part board, with opportunities for both flatwork and jumping riders.

FANCY
- A sweet, friendly mare with a calm personality. As a green horse, Fancy is perfect for a patient rider looking to develop their skills while helping continue her education.

GENESYS
- 5-year-old Quarter Horse gelding with a puppy-dog personality. A “whoa, then go” type, he was a camp favorite this summer and is beginning his education over fences this fall. Best suited to an experienced rider to help continue his education.

BILLY
- A well-educated gelding with all the buttons. Flat and dressage focused, Billy is athletic, responsive, and rewarding for an experienced rider with soft, consistent aids.

HUDSON
- Retired from jumping and available for an in-barn part board or lease. Hudson is the ideal partner for riders wanting to focus on flatwork, dressage fundamentals, and building a connection. (Yes—he only has one eye!)

MAYA
- Large Pony ready for the 2027 show season. Successful on both the Trillium and Silver circuits, Maya comfortably jumps 2’6” and is steady on the flat with plenty of motor over fences.

CASH
- An experienced hunter, jumper with Bronze and Trillium show miles. His comfortable canter and calm demeanor make him a fantastic confidence-building partner.

PADDINGTON
- A seasoned Bronze and Trillium competitor with years of championship experience. Dependable, kind, and happy to teach a rider the ropes of part boarding and showing.

SAMSON
- A lesson program favorite with extensive Bronze circuit experience. Honest, dependable, and looking for someone to enjoy spoiling him while continuing their riding journey.

Hunter School Master

String Theory, affectionately known as Sheldon, is a 19-year-old, 15.3hh Thoroughbred gelding with extensive experience in and out of the show ring.

Sheldon has successfully competed in the Hunter ring on the Bronze, Silver, and Trillium circuits throughout his career. With his easy, consistent rhythm and cute way of going, he is a pleasant and experienced partner for a rider looking to build confidence and continue developing their skills.

Now looking for a step-down job and home, Sheldon would be best suited to a program where he can enjoy a slower pace while still having a job to do. He has more whoa than go and is best suited to a capable junior or small adult with a quiet seat who is looking for a steady, experienced partner.

Sheldon travels well, is a pleasure to work around, and enjoys having a consistent rider and routine.

Care & Management:
• Lives outside 24/7 currently but is also comfortable in a stall
• Wears front shoes
• Good for bathing, farrier, and trailering
• Maintenance required — please message for additional details

📍 Located in New Lowell, Ontario — approximately 25 minutes from Barrie

Asking low fives starting with a 1 - $🥕🥕,🥕🥕🥕

On property lease in low fours available

Serious inquiries welcome. Please PM for additional information, photos, videos, and to arrange a trial.

Sheldon is incredibly loved, and finding the right match is our top priority. This is not a sale we are rushing into, and we would love to find him a home where he can enjoy a slower pace, plenty of attention, and a dedicated rider of his own.

Jumper / Hunter Pony Available

Golden Boy KE - known as Otis is a 14-year-old, 14.0hh Registered Half Welsh pony with a true in-your-pocket personality. He aims to please, loves attention, and is the kind of pony that steals hearts both in and out of the ring.

Otis has successfully competed in both the Hunter and Jumper rings at the Bronze and Trillium levels. In 2025, he showed in the 0.75m Jumpers, as well as the 2’6” Derbies and Equitation divisions on the Central Trillium Circuit, finishing Top 5 overall and qualifying for the Trillium Championships at Wesley Clover Park, where he placed Top 7 in every class. 2026 he is showing Teen Ranch Series with a novice. Otis is a pleasure to have in the barn and at shows. He travels well, enjoys his routine, and takes everything in stride.

Otis thrives with clear communication and forms his best partnerships with riders who take the time to get to know him. He has his own personality and opinions and would do best with a capable junior or small adult in a consistent program. He particularly enjoys having a dedicated partnership and really shines when given one person to build a relationship with.

Otis has gained a wide range of experience over the years, from competing in the show ring to helping riders develop their skills at home in our lesson program and rookie rider program. He has also had several dedicated part-boarders who have loved him deeply.

After giving so much to his riders, we feel Otis deserves the opportunity to have a person of his own. We are not looking to sell him to another lesson program. Our ideal home would be with a dedicated rider or family who will enjoy building a partnership with him, give him plenty of attention and pampering, and allow him to continue doing the things he enjoys.

Otis would be a great match for someone looking for a fun pony to continue developing with—whether that means attending shows, jumping at home, working toward new goals, or simply enjoying time in the saddle.

Care & Management:
• Lives outside 24/7 currently
• Barefoot
• Excellent for bathing, farrier, and trailering

This is not a sale we are rushing into, and finding the perfect home is far more important to us than a quick sale. We truly want to find Otis a person of his own who will appreciate his personality, enjoy building a partnership with him, and give him all the love and pampering he deserves.

Serious inquiries welcome. Please PM for additional information, photos, videos, and to arrange a trial.

School Horse Appreciation Spotlight: Hudson

Meet Hudson — shown as Hudson KE!

✨ 24 years old
✨ 16.2hh Hanoverian Gelding
✨ A valuable teacher for riders from novice through advanced

Hudson has been a valuable member of the Kuruka riding school over the years, helping riders develop their skills both at home and in the show ring. Originally bred for Dressage, Hudson has had quite the career while also being part of our lesson program. He has competed in both the Hunter and Jumper rings, including showing on the Trillium circuit, all while continuing to help teach and develop riders at Kuruka.

What we love most about Hudson is his loving personality. Despite having only one eye, Hudson continues to enjoy his work and has so much to offer his riders. He has taught riders at a variety of levels and has become a special part of the Kuruka family.

These days, Hudson is enjoying a slower pace of life. He has officially retired from jumping, although he may still enjoy popping over a few Cross Rails once in a while! His main focus now is teaching riders the foundations of Dressage—what he was originally bred to do.

Now Available for Part Board: Hudson would be a wonderful partner for a rider looking to enjoy time in the saddle, learn some Dressage, and give a very deserving horse plenty of love and pampering!

Thank you, Hudson, for all the years you’ve spent teaching and taking care of our riders. From the Hunter and Jumper rings and the Trillium circuit to your quieter days teaching Dressage, you’ve given so much to the Kuruka riding school, and we’re lucky to have you as part of our family.

☀️🐴 SUMMER CAMP 2026 UPDATE! 🐴☀️

We’ve officially wrapped up 3 weeks of Summer Camp, and what a summer it has been! We’ve loved welcoming so many new campers while also seeing so many familiar faces return for another summer at Kuruka. 💙

The weeks have been packed with fun, learning, and of course, lots of horses! From Tye dyeing and Water Olympics to horse-themed crafts, horse care, practical activities, and riding a different horse every day, our campers have been busy! 🐴🎨💦

Our campers have jumped into learning all about horse care and horsemanship with so much enthusiasm! From grooming and handling to learning new practical skills around the barn, it has been amazing watching everyone get involved, ask questions, and build their confidence. 🐴

Our CITs have also been learning lots about what it takes to be a camp counsellor, helping with lessons, activities, and campers throughout the week. They’ve also been getting plenty of opportunities to develop their own riding and horsemanship skills — riding different horses each day, working on their equitation, learning to lunge a horse for the first time, heading out for ba****ck rides, and even getting the chance to ride in the Derby Field for the first time! 🏇

One of our biggest new additions this year has been bringing our Rookie Rider Program into our regular camp days — and it has been a HUGE hit! We’ve loved watching our newest riders gain confidence, learn new skills, and have fun in the saddle. 💙

And of course, we can’t forget the camp games! 😂 Every single week, campers have become completely obsessed with Capture the Crop and Kick the Cone! We’re pretty sure these may have officially become Kuruka Summer Camp classics. 🏇😂

We can’t believe we only have ONE WEEK OF CAMP LEFT! 😭

📅 August 24–28

We’re looking forward to finishing off the summer with one more week of horses, friends, fun, learning, and plenty of memories! 🐴☀️💙

Here’s to an amazing Summer Camp 2026!

🐴 School Horse Appreciation Spotlight: Teddy

Meet Teddy — shown as Cross Bar Cactus!

✨ 9 years old
✨ 14.0hh Registered Quarter Horse Gelding
✨ Joined Kuruka in February 2022

Teddy came to Kuruka as a green boy and quickly started winning everyone over with his fun personality and level-headed nature. He loves having a job, jumping around a course, and heading off to shows. He has competed up to the Large Pony divisions on both the Trillium and Silver circuits.

What we love most about Teddy is his personality. He’s a fun guy who knows his own mind and always keeps things interesting. If you’ve ridden him over fences, you’ll know Teddy loves to occasionally take a long spot to a jump—just to keep everyone paying attention!

💙 Nicknames: Ted & Teddy Bear

⭐ Fun Fact: He turned into a fully Teddy Bear with his winter coat!

❤️ Special Mention: Teddy is especially loved by his part-boarder, Tenley, who has built a wonderful partnership with him over the years.

Teddy is a much-loved member of the Kuruka family, and we’re lucky to have this fun guy around. Thank you, Teddy, for all the laughs, lessons, and memories you’ve given our riders! 🐴💙
