After 15 incredible years, Ontario Dance Academy is announcing the retirement of our longtime Co-Director, Miss Crystal.

Since helping build ODA into the community it is today, Miss Crystal has poured her creativity, energy and heart into every part of the studio. From performances and competitions to costumes, classes, events, communications and countless late nights behind the scenes, her impact can be felt in nearly every ODA memory.

Most importantly, she has helped generations of dancers grow in confidence, creativity and courage. She has celebrated their accomplishments, supported them through challenges and always believed in the value of giving every child a place to belong.

Watching so many young people grow in confidence, creativity and courage has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. While Miss Crystal is stepping away from her leadership role to focus on her family, her health and the next chapter of her life, she will always remain an important part of the ODA family. She’ll still be stopping by from time to time, observing classes, attending performances and cheering our dancers on from the audience.

Please join us in thanking Miss Crystal for many unforgettable years and wishing her every happiness in this next chapter. Her passion, dedication and love for our dancers have helped shape Ontario Dance Academy into what it is today, and her legacy will continue to be felt for many years to come. ♥️

A huge thank you to David Houle for coming back to the studio and spending time with our dancers during the very short window between contracts.

David has long been one of our favourite guest teachers, and we are always so grateful that he continues to make time to share his talent, experience, and encouragement with our dancers.

We are also incredibly proud to celebrate his newest achievement: David has been cast in the First North American Tour of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, Death Becomes Her!

Watching David’s career continue to grow has been so special, and having someone with his professional experience return to inspire the next generation means more than we can say.

Thank you again, David, for being such an important part of our dancers’ training and for reminding them that big dreams are absolutely achievable with passion, perseverance, and hard work.

Congratulations, David! We will be cheering you on every step of the way. You deserve every bit of this. ❤️✨
