It was inside edge and open hip movements day with our U13 group this morning with coach Dave. Take a look into our session with a breakdown of some drills we worked on. Heel to heel movements have become a very commonly used skill in the game of hockey. It’s important to learn the details and work on the important fundamentals at a young age! Well done by the entire group!
Here is a look into Day 4 of our Speed Camp. The group spent the session focusing on their first 2 step quickness. The 65 minute skate had athletes working on getting on the balls of their feet, getting proper foot and body alignment and increasing their arm and leg turnover rate. After a week of forward stride mechanics, quickness work and linear speed with east to west movement built in we know both group are leaving faster then they were coming in! Everyone wants to be faster but it takes work! Skating isn’t always the most skill to work on but may be one of the most important! Full props to everyone who attended as both groups were hard working and focused on the details. We look forward to Agility and Transition Movements Camp starting on Monday!

Congratulations to Riley Mangin, this year’s recipient of the #92 LLRE Spirit Recognition Award! 🏒
The #92 LLRE Spirit Recognition Award was established in memory of a beloved hockey player, friend, and teammate. This award is presented annually to a U13 or U15 player who best exemplifies the qualities that Ryker Ethelston demonstrated throughout his life: sportsmanship, dedication, leadership, and a love of the game.
Ryker was known for his kindness and generosity and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Friends, family, and teammates remember him as someone who had a unique ability to make others feel valued and appreciated. His warm, welcoming nature and infectious smile made him a beloved friend and an outstanding teammate.
As we remember Ryker, we honor the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of kindness, compassion, and genuine care for others. He was also a dedicated hockey player and teammate who worked hard every day with a smile on his face. May his memory inspire us all to live with the same generosity of spirit that he embodied.
The recipient of this award receives a credit of up to $500 toward a Flow Hockey Summer Camp. Their jersey will also proudly feature the #92 on the left front, close to the heart, in memory of Ryker.
