Nominations and elections will be held for VP Brooks Minor Hockey, Treasurer, Referee Director, RMFHL Director, Coach Player Development, Secretary and all Committee positions.

iv.) Before being elected to President or VP Jr. Bandits/Prairie Thunder, the candidates shall have served at least a two (2) years on either member voted committee or has served two (2) years as a past BMHA board director. Before being elected to a board director position the candidates shall have served at least a one (1) year term on either member voted committee or has served a one (1) year term as a past BMHA board director.

If you wish to submit a letter to Brooks Minor Hockey for review at the AGM, it must be received by April 12/2026

Bylaw 4: ix) No motion shall be received unless submitted in writing with the names of the mover and the seconder thereon the said motion shall not be open for discussion until so stated by the Presiding Officer

Our association is proud to offer some of the lowest upfront registration fees around. To keep fees affordable and ensure minor hockey remains accessible to families in our community, fundraising plays a key role.

You might be surprised to learn what it actually costs to run a full hockey season per player, per age group—ice time is just the beginning! 🧊

Beyond the rink, costs include:
- Referees
- Hockey Alberta insurance
- Player development opportunities (like external power skating coaches)
- And many other behind-the-scenes necessities

On top of that, our association is powered by an incredible group of dedicated volunteers—coaches, managers, board members, and parents—who generously donate their time to keep everything running smoothly.

Fundraising helps us:
✔ Keep registration fees low
✔ Support player development
✔ Make hockey accessible to the youth in our community

So yes… we fundraise—and proudly! 😉
